It is a growing foreign religion in the country, and I did not say that it is becoming a majority religion. The same thing regarding Christianity , it may not be a majority religion, but it is a growing religion in the country. Japan allows freedom of religion , so anyone can practice whatever they so desire. We don't persecute people for their faith.

I think the Japan - Russia , situation did not needed escalation like this specially since Russia has not
done anything negatively to Japan

So sanctions against Russia are quite enigmatic decision

Russia right up north to Japan , why sour relations with you neighbour

Sry if i seemed harsh, just that i remembered you giving lessons about religious minority integration.

Russia betrayed Japan in WW2 with the Manchuria attack,Japan keeping its promise not to attack in the SU darkest hour (fighting Germany).

That is WW2 , its past its 100 years ago almost ... we are talking today trade today between Russia and Japan and cultural ties between people all sacrificed to support USA for what reason ?

Sanction a peaceful nation like Russia ! one that has culture , belle Dancing and Top Notch Gymnast, and they make the best fighter jets

Quite illogical , perhaps it would be remembered as a day Japan made wrong decision and instead of being neutral got involved in another war

It is only 69 years + some ocuppied Japanese islands ago.

lol

Russians are cultured , social people

Great culture, belle , Live Arts shows Opera , Gymnast that amuse the world, artistic flavor in all things they do , great food , great tradition

Always building Infrastructure projects for other nations ....peaceful , loving and loved by all

The Sanctions against Russia are just , unimaginable injustice

If Russia wanted they could have occupied Japan after WW2 but they did not took over Japan and refrained from any attacks

Japan really should have also respected the status Russia Owns in world as a Super Power Nation

And remember Russia never used Nuclear weapons on Japan , so not sure why Japan is made about Russia for ?

@sincity ,

I will reiterate , again, that Japan and the United States are strategic partners, and time honored allies. The United States' military defense of Japan as explicitly stated in our Mutual Defense Treaty -.

Instead of perpetually being on the defensive maybe you should cite examples of Germany and how they interact with ALL their immediate neighbors since it is a similar situation. Is the US, France,Spain, England, and Russia (and everybody else) obsessed with Germany wanting to "get even" since they considered themselves the "master race".

According to their logic they should all be worried about German tanks rolling across their borders any day.

The facts are that things have quieted down in Europe since WW2 and hundreds of years of being at each others throats has finally ceased. I don't know how much (if any) credit the US can take for that but whatever policies we may strong-armed on them seemed to have worked.

Two words: Marshall Plan.

post #35 says it was japanese navy.
whatever it was, no sane person can support east turkestan, no one, its not in japan's interests either
That is funny,
Two words: Marshall Plan.

As far as read in German, the Marshall Plan is different to we are talking about, both in economy and history. Totally different.

The constitution clearly reflects the epoch in which it was written, a time when Japan had surrendered. This is why I and many Japanese nationalists are in support of the removal of amendments that limit Japan's ability to project power. The gutting of Article 9, as well as the amending of the military exports ban is an example of Japan's normalization.

@Nihonjin1051 , if Japan were to revise the Article 9, would the US-Japan Mutual Defense Treaty not become obsolete?
