Japan imposes sanctions against Russia under US pressure — Tokyo Governor

@sincity ,

I will reiterate , again, that Japan and the United States are strategic partners, and time honored allies. The United States' military defense of Japan as explicitly stated in our Mutual Defense Treaty -- that both Japan and the United States will come to the aid of each other in case of military attack and provocation. Our collective effort together in the Cold War enabled us to take care of any Soviet exigencies. This framework remains to this day. ]

US occupied Japan since end of WW2, the Japan Pacifist Constitution was written under unconditional surrender agreement in turn US would serve as Japan protector against other nations military aggression. This condition was forced upon Japanese government to be written in Japan constitution and not by the desire from Japan government. Under Pacifist condition, Japan not allow to expand Japan military reach beyond defense Japan from being attack and can't transform Japan military into a expedition force that can wage aggressive war against any nation. Japan completely surrendered Japan military projection and fall under US military umbrella, US obligated to protect Japan against any military attack from any nation not because US obligation is fall under the Mutual Defense Treaty but clearly stated in the Japan Pacifist Constitution.

The constitution clearly reflects the epoch in which it was written, a time when Japan had surrendered. This is why I and many Japanese nationalists are in support of the removal of amendments that limit Japan's ability to project power. The gutting of Article 9, as well as the amending of the military exports ban is an example of Japan's normalization.

Times' a changin', buddy.

You tried to misleading other with your reply on my earlier post that Japan and US had the agreement with the Mutual Defense Treaty and not written under the cloud of Japan government unconditional surrender to the US and forced to signed the Pacifist condition in Japan Constitution. For Japan to project military power beyond Japan, 1st US military need to forcefully or subvert removal of US troop and US power projection out of Japan and Japan government. Japan can't project power without US agreement for any chance to undermine US interest in Asia and beyond.

then please explain post #33

To be honest, it looks like a Japanese civilian in a civilian ship. Again, the Japanese Government's position is not to interfere with China's internal affairs. We don't interfere with Tibet, Xinjiang etc.

The Mutual Defense Treaty between Japan and the United State was a result of the rising Communist threat that both Japan and the United States both feared. Amid the Korean Conflict and the balance-of-power struggle with China and the Soviet Union, the United States continued to rebuild Japan. On September 8, 1951, the United States and Japan signed the Mutual Security Treaty, which stationed U.S. troops on Japanese soil for the defense of Japan. On March 8, 1954, the countries signed the Mutual Defense Assistance Agreement (entered into force May 1, 1954), which focused on defense assistance. It allowed for the presence of U.S. armed forces in Japan for the purpose of peace and security while encouraging Japan to take on more responsibility for its own defense. In fact, years since then, it was the United States that has been encouraging Japan to repeal Article 9 and to take up more pro-active role in this military alliance. For many decades, Japanese governments have been very hesitant due to the post-war sentiments.

So it is , indeed, a paradigm shift that Abe has taken a more pro-active policy. But, as I have mentioned earlier, its a normalization process.

Look at this picture, the clothing he is wearing is not Japanese maritime self defense. He is a civilian protester , mostly likely an Uighyur (as there are many Uighyur refugees in Japan) protesting Chinese PLAN. If you look in the background, it looks like the stern (aft), looks like a PLAN's Type 056 Corvette. Most likely this was taken near the Japan-China neutral zone.

Notice the aft of the Type 056, which is identical to the ship's aft in the previous picture

ahahahahahah....tahts the weird. last think i had in mind.
On a serious note, im against these terrorists so called east turkestan or whatever they call themselves. These muslim fanatics should keep their suicide bombings/extremism/beheadings/stabbings etc in the middle east. they should leave civilised east Asian countries alone develop themselves. Even in U.K these scums have indoctrinated muslim youths here, who have been travelling in droves to the middle east to fight their Jihad aginst 'infidels' despite all the human rights/freedom we have giving them here..:disagree: im in favor of getting rid of these scums without pity.Religion can be the opium of the masses if not well handled indeed.:bounce:
This flag has nothing to do with extremists.

China knows of Japan's non-intervention policy regarding each others' internal affairs. This is part of the bedrock of our 1978 Treaty of Peace and Friendship.

Besides, those civilians have the right to protest if they want, if they are Japanese civilians (or Uighyur refugees), then they are afforded the right to free speech and Japanese Government cannot and will not force them to silent. We are a Liberal Democracy, not an autocracy.

:coffee:

Japanese are just slaves to the US. This is why I look down on Japs. China and Russia will get closer to counter Japan in the future. I'm very happy to see Japan weak and dying as China is becoming the dominant East Asian country.

Japan is just a mere American colony and a 20th century power.

Japan is the past, China is the future.

that's funny :omghaha:
-slaves of the US
-you look down on Japs
-china and russia becoming closer to counter Japan
-happy to see Japan weak and dying
-china becoming the dominate east Asian country

so Japs should switch sides and become slaves of China then it sounds like :laughcry:

at least our slaves are better than your NK slaves Beidou :nana:

the hubris on these Chinese posters on here, lol

What refugees ? You mean any Uighyur can just come to Japan seek asylum ?

Hey buddy, let's not use the racist term "Jap".

Its Japanese. Thanks.
just saying how he said it :D

They have to apply , first. There are several thousands of Uighyur refugees in Japan. And they are very vocal about their opposition against China. Btw, Japan does bring in refugees from around the world; we have many from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Burma, Tibet, Xinjiang, Somalia, etc.

In Japan they have a chance to live a peaceful life, for them and their children.

Btw, here is an example of Uighyur community in Japan,

Thanks , buddy. Well, its important for us to not stoop down to their level.

Attack North Korea? Plans? Now I know you really have problems with understanding Japanese strategy.

Many Chinese nationalists want a war with Japan to "settle" old issues. But luckily they remain a minority case.
Come on you are former JSDF member. You look like know nothing about your government.
