Islamic Pakistan vs Secular India.

. .
Really? Comparing the judicial systems of the 2 countries? Pakistan is a country whose judiciary has sanctioned coups, military takeovers and hanged a former Prime Minister. Nawaz Sharif is a convicted hijacker according to Pak courts and still became PM. Didn't your judiciary let that American CIA guy go after he shot a bunch of people in Pakistan when he paid blood money to relatives?

One swallow doesn't make a summer. Good thing you convicted the pedophile rapist and killer. But to compare your decidedly partisan weather-cockish judiciary to India's judiciary is an exercise in wishful thinking.

What he's saying is completely true. A woman needs to produce 4 MALE witnesses to prove that she has been raped. DNA testing is a phenomenon of the past couple decades before that it was either having 4 male witnesses or getting lashed for adultery. Hell even with DNA evidence cases were often dismissed, it was only in the mid 2000's after Musharrafs arrival that he had a bill passed which made DNA evidence the primary proof. Don't be a denialist, call a spade a spade.
musharraf has some pros in his name. unfortunately his cons were more grave.
and thank you for this information being repealed. its draconian like our AFSPA. hell, the latter is way more draconian.

What ? Are you comparing a political ideology to a personal belief ? The US wouldn't allow a communist leader because he would push communist principles down everyone's throat. If he were only a communist at heart why tf wouldn't they allow him ?

Siddiq Khan , a Pakistani Muslim is the mayor of London (literally the heart of western civilization). Even in "sickular" India I think there's a Muslim female Chief Minister. In Nigeria (a majority Muslim country) there have been alternating christian and Muslim governments.

As for the second please educate as to why exactly a woman or a mans testimony should be considered "less" in any case ? Does that make sense to you. If you need to draw so many if's and but's to support something maybe rethink if its worth supporting.

What people from 3500 BC isn't relevant but you're out here importing 8th century laws to the 21st century, oh yeah that's completely relevant.

Lol if he dared tell anyone he was a Communist, he would be sacked. You know that very well. Back in the Cold War he would have even gone to prison.

Islam is comparable because it is more than just a personal faith, it is a way of life.

Those examples you have listed are not orthodox Muslims. You know very well orthodox Muslims cannot hold such positions unless they compromise their religion.

I don't care. The Quran says so and that is all I care about. Rationality only comes into this if one is to decide whether or not to believe in Islam. If you already believe in it, then there's no point in analysing every single rule.

Anyway, people have written numerous pieces online explaining this ruling. Read them.

Yes but what kind of weird law allows that? Also, are you telling me the Government of Pak may not have put tremendous pressure to "forgive".

One victim's wife committed suicide
https://www.dawn.com/news/604382

Or $2.3 million paid out to surviving family members.
What kind of country does that happen in?

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/14/magazine/raymond-davis-pakistan.html

Our laws allow that, the same laws which enabled us to dominate the region for a thousand years, so stuff it. They work well when implemented properly.

It's very sad that one woman didn't get her justice, and in my opinion Davis should have been publicly executed in front of the American embassy.

But that doesn't make the law wrong. The law is that the family can ask for the killer to be executed, to obtain financial compensation, or completely forgive him.

I dunno how it works for serial killers or mass killings with multiple victims (I'm guessing that each family that wants financial compensation receives it, and that the guy only remains breathing if every family says they don't want him executed, or it could be classified as terrorism, which means the government decides his fate, not the families).

pakistan can be anything well almost but throw out imf/rothshcild bank/ ban usury mint gold and silver coins. I want economic freedom no slavery. please also execute the next George soros revolutionary and rid of think tanks that serve western interest. Please also throw out multinational corporations whether its MacDonald, Starbucks, nike etc. fcukem we can make our own food and products.

Seeing your banning list it’s clear that you don’t like to live in the modern world...!
Throwing out modern banking and bringing back gold and silver coins like the good old days?? How simplistic and naive!!!

Turning back time will solve all the problems, Yeah!

I am not sure - are you justifying his release through your judiciary or not?

Nice try, trying to deflect the question with the "dominate the region" jibe. We can discuss that in some other thread. No modern judiciary allows "blood money" and lets killers go free.

He shouldn't have been released, in my opinion his attack should have been classified as terrorism, not murder. Same with serial killers.

These types of things should only happen if someone has killed only one person, and is unlikely to do it again. Even then, I think he should serve jail time.

I agree with you that this case was messed up, but I don't disagree with the law in general. I just think it needs a major remodification.
