This year, instead of 8, #HAL has barely produced only 6 airframes.
This year, we have produced at least 120 4++, 5 gen fighters, and this country sees us as their main competitor?

No its not that simple

You don't think of stuffs from user perspective unless they start using them and give feedbacks. Pilots verify the operational facets of the aircrafts while ground maintenance teams gives feedback after working on them in hangars.

With half the frame, electronics and missiles coming over from China, integration is not really an hard job.
But yes, LCA programme this year have been an disappointment. Most of the modules are manufactured by private sub contractor across the breadth of the country. Without them , HAL can't integrate anything sadly.

Not only HAL. Seems IAF has asked for even better modifications on the next batches of FOC aircrafts. In manufacturing this is not encouraged to change something after it has been approved. So in effect the first 2 FOC is going to be lil bit different than the next 14.

naaa...those modifications are ok as long as it's just playing musical chairs inside the shell. The issue happens only if you change the structure or avionics. Making maintainence easy is always a good thing for the operational life of the aircraft.
