What's new

Is it Over ?

no offence but i always see many indians and pakistani civilians talk about "nuke pakistan","nuke india","we want war" and i havent seen chinese, south koreans, american people talk about war with china or america, heck i dont see chinese always saying in every topic we want war with taiwan.
if you want war why not join the military and fight the war on terror and actually make a difference, when i read about how hard working and focussed the chinese, japanese, american ,south korean is towards seeing his economy grow always impresses me.
rather than talking about war why not try to make a difference and things better.

Actually, there are many Chinese "Fenqing" who say things like that.

It is mostly aimed towards Japan though.

I have read a few articles on IDR. I would describe the author as "bold" but not delusional or ill-informed. However it must be kept in mind that IDR is in no way affiliated with the GoI or the army for that matter.

Thanks.

Yea yea, as per indians, thewhole world including russia and china aregoing down, and only india is the shining star of the future. :blah: Typical Indian hegemonic mentality on display... :coffee:

Don't be surprised.
This is a typical of the Chinese People's character.

Chinese People do not welcome other people to evaluate their.
Whether praised or criticized, they all don't like.

In China, It(evaluate their) is impolite to.

You're quite reliable Abir, so I'll take your word for it.

Just for the sake of curiosity, what other think tanks are there, and how popular are they?

I have no idea who are all the think tanks, I generally follow opinions/blogs of Hindu, TOI, Telegraph etc to know the national mood.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

What other think tanks are there in India? Especially ones that deal with geopolitical issues. Apart from IDR of course.

You need to understand one thing, that opinions of this self-proclaimed think-tanks has no effect in India's foreign policy and it should be taken as their personal opinion.

He was not referring to this thread in particular but all the other articles written on predicting China's fall by Indian Ultra nationalistic Journalists.

Just do a search on the Internet all you will find TONs of articles written by Indians on China's "fall".

Didn't know that.

It depends on the intentions.

If someone is genuinely offering constructive advice, then it is welcomed. The Chinese government very regularly analyzes itself for weaknesses, and learns how to fix them, which is one reason why modern China is experiencing such a strong economic/political internal environment.

Articles criticizing China are useful indeed, as long as they contain some logic and facts. This is regardless of the intentions of the writer. Don't expect many thanks though, if you're going to write an article that is obviously designed for preemptive gloating.

South Asia Analysis Group
Strategic Foresight Group

Only two I know of, but these are private and they are not linked to the government as Abir said.

Thanks
