Pakistan has earlier organised a major defence exhibition in Baghdad in April 2021 in which JF-17 Thunder thrilled the Iraqi airspace with its extraordinary performance and won the hearts of the government and people of Iraq.

they have been impressed and interested

but I am not sure why a deal is never signed

maybe Pakistan isn't good at marketing?

does PAC have a specialised marking team which can show for example different configurations of the JF17 for custom design for each Air Force

we need to start tailoring these visits to the specific airforces and not just generic show around

Chinese can sell to anyone but Pakistan is finding it hard to sell to its own Muslims brother nations, why? we dont know how to sell?

According to the sources, the defense agreement has been approved by the Iraqi and Pakistani governments and a formal agreement is expected to be signed in Islamabad next month. The Iraqi government has approved $664 million for the purchase of 12 combat aircraft from Pakistan.

The Iraqi Minister of Defense, Lieutenant-General Juma Inad Saadoun, visited Pakistan earlier in May, during which he held meetings with Pakistani leaders and officials and discussed Iraq's interest in purchasing JF-17 Thunder fighters from Pakistan.

Becos Chinese dealing are very flexible. We accept Barter trade while most other countries especially third world countries prefer USD cash than goods accepted.

China need plenty of raw material, therefore accept raw material as payment appeal to China more than other countries.

According to reports, the defense deal was approved by both the Iraqi and Pakistani governments, and a formal agreement is expected to be signed in Islamabad next month.

After several rounds of negotiations between Iraq and Pakistan on fighter jets, Iraq’s government approved the amount of 664 million USD for the purchase of 12 fighter aircraft from Pakistan.
