Iraq to buy 12 JF-17 Thunder jets from Pakistan

Iraqi Air Force has visited PAC over half a dozen times over recent years

they have been impressed and interested

but I am not sure why a deal is never signed

maybe Pakistan isn't good at marketing?

does PAC have a specialised marking team which can show for example different configurations of the JF17 for custom design for each Air Force

we need to start tailoring these visits to the specific airforces and not just generic show around

Chinese can sell to anyone but Pakistan is finding it hard to sell to its own Muslims brother nations, why? we dont know how to sell?
PAC marketing team I recall is shit. Very poor presentation skills.

Not want to spoil the party but what are the chances of Americans or Israeli getting their hands on Iraqi JFs and passing information on to the Indians. Block 3 will be the high end of JF17 incorporating some serious tech including the radar. It is only natural to assume the number of interested parties waiting for a chance to get information on it.
And yes i am aware US and Israel both operate hightech 5th generation planes.
Ultimately the blk 3 ,whilst advanced will become a known quantity fairly quickly. The trick is keeping g ahead of the curve.

No, We all want sales for the JF-17, we just want official confirmation from any Pakistani or Iraqi sources because fake news is very easy to create these days. Just because you think it’s going to happen, doesn’t mean we can’t doubt it, not before it’s official, so watch your tone kindly, nobody is scared.
Exactly there are already alleged comments from Argentina stating that they are looking at 5 options and have not specified which aircraft.

Whatever we Pakistanis are and WHATEVER we become, may we NEVER become the world's biggest FAKE NEWS and PROPAGANDA factory.

That is the lowest of the low.

I do not want to comment on how accurate the reports are, but IF and it may be a big IF, but if Argies and Iraqis sign on the dotted line I believe we may have matched or almost matched the Gripen in the number of foreign users in around half the time frame of being in service. That would actually be incredible.

How about a Specialized Jf-17 without classified avionics which PAF uses?

As if they don’t know every single minute detail about this plane already.

All credit to India and Abhinandan. It would not have been possible without India's help. No matter how hard Pakistan tried, JF-17's combat win proved its effectiveness.

Usually the Product that is presented to foreign customers are a bit different than the one's country who produce it fly, so I think it won't be a issue.

Makes no sense to buy the JF-17 for Iraq anyway.
Look at Iraq's neighbors, all their air forces are top notch.

What Iraq needs is a mix of air equipment to deal with terrorism, Turkey can fill that gap with drones.

And a small number of squadrons in the class of (Rafale, SU-30, Su-35) with a focus on air-air.

Iraq's F-16's, Su-25's and KA-50 are already filling the need for heavy air-ground strike.

I believe JF17 is also Top Notch :coffee: @MrCamel
Specially when the red button is pressed

Actually you haven't really thought it through. The F16's you have don't have the AIM120 (Only Sparrow missiles) No AESA. You will still need to defend your airspace. The JF17 Gives you Longer range BVR's AESA cheaper flight hours and a lot more stand off munitions that the good ole USA won't give you. Its a good all rounder. the RAFALE/SU30/SU35 will all come at a higher price and maintenance cost
