Then why doesn't the Pakistanis government tell the Iranian government the project is no longer viable and should be terminated?
There is a card which Iran can play.
Iran knows it. Pakistan knows it.
Can you guess what that card is? If so, don't bother telling me as there is no prize for guessing. lol
Whoever. There is something we call an agreement.
Or else there is a fine we need to pay and its foolish.
Iran was the sellar, India was the buyer. India backed out. Pakistan was just supposed to buy whatever little we needed for our use.
After India backing out, Why should Pakistan build the pipeline all the way from extreme west of border(Iran) till extreme east of border(India)?
If we were bound to buy limited gas for our needs then we are already buying it for Gwadar.
Are we forced to build pipeline to other cities like Karachi and Lahore on iranian terms and then forced to buy gas frm them on their tariffs even if we don't desperately need it?
As for fine, why hasn't Iran went for it yet?
Look, I'm not against buying gas from Iran. I just want to buy at out own time, our own terms and conditions and our own reasonable tariffs according to our own needs/requirements. Afterall, seller cannot force buyer you know.
