So , i don't know why but i just got a feeling and i searched Iranian airforce and their inventory , dudes you seriously are in a whole lot of sh*t and this is what you have , all out dated fighters except mig 29 , transport aircraft inventory is good ... look i'm not mocking or anything but seriously look at this , correct me if i'm wrong and tell me if this is total Iranian air power ....

Well talking about Iran.
They have a lot of patriotic youth to throw at the enemy wave after wave.
Who cares about upgrading the air force or land forces despite being one of the major oil producing nations?

They just know how to manage their population and how to overwhelm the enemy with the masses to make them run out of their bullets...

If I have 10bln$ I have two choices

1) Buy 100 Su-30 and its support equipment (100mln$ per unit)

2) Buy 2000 Emad missiles (5mln$ per missile and its equipment)

If I buy 100 Su-30-----they will not stand a chance against 2700 US fighter aircrafts including 175 F-22s....These 100 Su-30s will be lost in the first week of war without doing any damage to the enemy.

If I buy 2000 Emad missiles, in 3-4 days I can launch all of them (and assuming 50% success rate) I can destroy 1000 strategic targets deep inside enemy territory. I can destroy desalination plants in Saudi Arabia, oil terminals and petrochemical plants in UAE, ports in Kuwait. I can destroy airbases (and unsheltered enemy aircrafts deployed there) with missiles and cluster munitions.

So in Iranian case, missiles are a more efficient deterrence. With missiles Iran can destroy oil infrastructure and enemy military bases.

At the same time if in 2015 I had a chance to buy 100 Su-30, I would say NO!--Why? Because this Su-30 will serve for 10 years and in 2025 will become obsolete, because USA, Israel and Turkey will buy hundreds and hundreds of fifth generation fighters like F-35.....

Buying 4th generation fighters in time when the rest of the world is rearming to 5th generation fighters is foolish.....So for Iran it is better to wait a little bit and buy Chinese J-31 or Russian Su-57 when they are ready for sale----these fighters have future and will serve until 2050

Iran doesn't spend money on tanks or aircrafts. Why?

Because no country in the region is a threat---no country is large enough to invade Iran. Iran is secure from land invasion so there is no large demand for large number of modern tanks, for example.

The main threat is US air force, but this threat is contained by Iranian missiles capable of destroying enemy bases deep inside enemy territory and regional oil production

Meantime to guarantee its long term security Iran needs to develop nuclear bomb- in this case Iran will have immunity from any military threats.

Currently, Iran is engaged in Research and Development of modern military equipment and slowly it will rearm its conventional forces, no need to hurry

This is a bit exaggerating , opponents will surely have something to counter missiles and besides what good will these missiles do ? Even you do critical damge to your enemy by these then what will the enemy do when you'll run out of these missiles ... then swarms of US bombers will be moving freely here and there
