Good for ssg, airborne troops ( which we have very less of ) to provide quick indirect lethal fire support , ie mimicking mortar support. It could potentially be useful in the mountains but only for defensive purposes , where the enemy is attacking uphill and there is plenty of concealment. However if there is no concealment or own forces are on the attack , this will be quite useless as the enemy would immediately call in own fire support on it, it would simply be a target. Rather get something akin to XM25, more rifle launched grenades or something akin to the Carl Gustav, which would provide lethal bunker busting ability , direct fire support , and anti light armour or mrap ( which are very common in Kashmir. Then again these weapons will only work in engagement ranges of sub 1000m , while in normal loc violations ranges exceed that by a lot.
What Pakistan really should do is develop a new generation of light , portable mortar. Equip them at platoon level with one 60mm advanced mortar , with gps or other positioning system for cheap smart shells, you would not need a seeker just a computer on the mortar to calculate where the exact parameters for the shot so that every shots a hit. This would be lethal for small assault teams , for company level support provide 3 80mm smart mortars, possibly with guided top attack anti tank shells
