The engines are American and so will be lot of other components..can someone give details analysis about how much indigenous components are used in this ACC??

Barring Russia and USA ,no other countries ship can be classified as fully indigenous ,even chinese ships have some degree of Russian Equipment
As far as indian ships are concerned
Well , Navy's Shivalik class Frigate and Kolkata class Destroyers have around 65-70 % Indigenous content
With major foreign equipment being The engines and Barak SAMs
As far as IAC is concerned
Well, the ship was designed by Directorate of Naval Design , a govt of India institute
While Its hull is being built by Cochin Shipyard Ltd
Ski jump being built by L&T an indian engineering company
Most of the Internal systems were Built by Drdo and have already been incorporated in Shivalik and Kolkata class
The ship's firepower is expected to be at par with Kolkata Class Destroyer , with only difference being that the IAC will carry Nirbhay cruise Missile with a range of 1000 Km along with the usual Bramos Cruise Missiles which are the standard issue Anti ship missiles of Indian Warships being inducted in the last 10 Yrs
As far as total Indigenous level is concerned It is estimated that 80% of the total value of Carrier will comprise of Indigenous systems
Currently the IAC is estimated to cost Rs 5600 Cr ie 1.25 Billion USD
which is nearly Double the Original estimate of yr 2003 which was Rs 3000Cr or 700 Million USD
Even today many people in the defence establishment estimate that by the time the carrier actually enters service IN 2014 , it could cost Rs 7000 Cr or 1.6 Billion USD
