Indian Navy gets new MiG-29K carrier-borne fighters

Russia had prototypes before India is interested in?
Who gave them Indian,Israeli and French avionics and other combos?

those are among big claims of his ..
his next claim will be that russian show him the prototypes before offering it to India ..

No, I don't think you understand the nature/context of the MKI development. The prototype referred to above is the MK version with certain customisations to act as a tech demonstrator ie 3d TVC, canards. The Indian, French and Israeli components were added later to the MK"I" once IAF stated their requirements for the SU. The prototype above is the ground rock for which all other MKX were based - MKI, MKM,MKA etc.

Sirjee Proto type is not full fledged version... Russia earlier developed SU 30 MK ... and was exported to China , India etc.... so they had the system.. even India had initial MKI without canards and only Russian sub system.. we struck a deal with irkut to modify the MK as per our needs.. so came in MKI....

All the avionics are purchased by India and is given to Russia for integration...

 Are you still hurt because your Mig wasn't shortlisted (although it was pretty obvious)?
I have no need to claim anything and could provide even more sources, but why don't you simply try to prove me wrong and that there is a final production Mig 35 prototype with all the features they claimed? :coffee:

Now I see there has been many comparison going on between mig 29k and F 16 as well as mig 29k with EF 2000.

Guys try and understand you are comparing a naval based fighter which will be flying from an aircraft carrier with a fighter which takes off from land. It is customary for fighters like su 30 mki, f-16, Eurofighter to be fit with AESA radar these days but not that important for carrier borne fighters as
naval asset such as destroyers, frigates, amphibious ship, corvettes etc has very large RCS and can be detected from 300km - 400km away.

Even radar fitted with LCA currently can detect these ships good from 350km away.

Now again EF 2000 is a good fighter and have great chance to give Mig 29K a run owing to its small RCS(0.5m2 as compared to 1m2 of mig 29K), but try and understand will these two fighter ever be used by our adversaries.

Again Mig 29k will hardly meet f-16 as mig 29K will be used against naval assets of our adversaries whereas f-16 against our surface and air assets.

Our western neighbour has no answer to mig-29k as they can only watch, and as compared to Su 27 mig 29K is a better aircraft as not only it is a true multirole aircraft unlike Su 27k which is good for air defence, it can detect su 27 in air way earlier and can fire missiles two-three times before meeting them in a dogfight(only if su 27K survive all three missiles).Even in dogfight Mig 29k will have higher chances as Su 27k is airframe is not as advanced as su 30.

The prime role of a carrier fighter is to provide air defence to the CBG, which means the fighter must be able to detect and engage enemy fighters with anti ship missiles from great distances, otherwise the CBG is in danger. Normally carriers also have AEW aircrafts to provide long range detection and guidance for the fighters, but in our case we have the least capable AEW solution that is available, the Ka 31. That means, having AESA radar for the air defence fighters is a clear advantage, to have a good coverage of the surrounding airspace, for the protection of the CBG.
However, with the delays of the carriers we might be able to upgrade the older Migs with AESA, even before they went into operational service ond the carrier. :frown:
