Edit: After reading the tender, seems like the weight is an issue. The weight of this new missile has to be below 1000kg.

Thanks for your high quality input, but the missile in question has to be under 1000kg weight, preferably for missile boats. And Brahmos exceeds 2500kg weight, suitable for frigates and destroyers.

Brahmos was originally a ship launched missile. It was so successful that they decided to make land based and air launched versions of it. Now do you realize the inherent stupidity of your post?

Hardly- the Bhramos coss some $1.2 million a peice it clearly isn't practical to use these in every case. If you can get a missile 1/2 as expensive to be used for low value targets.
