Indian Army smashes mobile phones of 50 soldiers to curb being exposed on social media.

Indian Army officials ordered the destruction of mobile phones belonging to 50 soldiers recently.

As the men were ordered to stand and watch, two of their colleagues smashed the phones with stones.

The officers of the unit had banned mobile phones to curb the use of social media.

When they spotted a few soldiers with phones, they ordered a search that led to the confiscation of many more.

Many soldiers, unhappy with the facilities and treatment they received, made videos of their shoddy living conditions and shared them on social media, triggering huge controversies.

Reasons for destroying phone sets may be different. Why adding reasons like shoddy conditions bla bla ?

What other possible reason there could be when instead of just confiscating the phones, they made the soldiers stand and watch their personal belongings being destroyed.

Obviously the person who made the video and released it must have disclosed the reason.

Pak did snatch a large chunk of Kashmir(Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan). It is rather u guys who have consistently failed to take it back despite all the Akhand Bharat and Kashmir being an "atoot ang" stuff. Go take some history lessons.

This will only add in the frustration among the solders...mobile phones can be used negatively.. but majority of the solders use it to keep in contact with family and see pics of their loved 1ce..
