I have no idea about VISA,only know lot of Chinese visit India every year already who only aim for north-west India where almost desert.India's good parts as I know are J&K and north-east where always there are some problems.

I'm a Hong Kong resident, so I think we were already granted visa on arrival before this.

Also, I'm interested in the Great University described by Xuanzang in his travels. Is it still there?

Yes, Nalanda is still here although not in that great shape as it once used to be.

But still thousands of tourist come to see it every year but the infra of that place is not much great.

No. It doesn't! The people are good. It's the CPC and their policies that are a little disturbing.

This is truely greatly new. I have been to india with my wife as tourists 2 times and always been frustraed by its current requirement for visa application, such as banking deposit certificate and employment certificatie ect, so ridiculous that almost let me giving up my tour plan.

Once this new policy impelment, I will definitely visit India again.

I have plenty of other options some of which I would like visiting the second or third time.
