Wont really be that easy, PN will stick close to land, and will recieve support from land - there is no way India can defeat PN without mobilizing its full strength ; which will not happen. We need to talk realistic here and not just dream.

Target of Indian Navy would be not to attack, but to block the Pakistan's sea routes completely from getting external Help.

By the way, MKI stationed in Gujrat are capable enough to launch airstrikes in Karachi, and brahmos would cause havoc there. PN navy needs Surface fleet to defend its ports, the submarines threat of PN could be countered with ASW capability easily.

Things have come to a level where the word sanctions or embargoes won't matter much, because past 20 years we have touched upon almost every other area of defence manufacturing and invested very heavily and we got the know hows of almost every other sophisticated technology which will fall under sanctions.. It is just that some of them are operational and some of them are in in development stages.. Hence there is nothing completely new that the west is going to offer us. They know for sure that, we will get it with or without them on our own, but it will be only a matter of few more years without them..

IN will easily be able to blockade Karachi, but Gwadar is a no no. Pakistan also has capabilities to launch Air Strikes deep into Indian territory but civilian areas have never been targeted during Indo-Pak wars. Purpose of ASW is to find and track submarines - but very hard to do it on a stealth submarine. I suggest you read more about the 093, The Deadliest Submarines in the World - TheRichest

Hyundai heavy Industries are world leaders when it come to building Logistics ships. Just have a look at their portfolio. Not to mention their expertise in building destroyers and Frigates.

Why would HSL opt for a european design when it has a tie up with HII ?

Hindustan Shipyard Ltd., (HSL) the largest shipbuilding enterprise under the Indian Ministry of Defence, and world’s premier shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) are likely to undertake joint construction of self-propelled Fleet Support Ships (FSS) for the Indian Navy.

The joint collaboration with Hyundai is taking concrete shape after a visit to South Korea by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in May. This was followed by a visit to South Korea by HSL Chairman and Managing Director Rear Admiral N.K. Mishra and the subsequent inspection of HSL by HHI Vice-President-Engine and Machinery and COO Jeong-Hwan Kim to Visakhapatnam.

A high-level delegation from Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd has already inspected facilities at the Hindustan Shipyard Limited to explore the possibilities of cooperation.

The team comprised of six members under the leadership of Hyundai Senior Executive Vice-President-Engine and Machinery and COO Jeong-Hwan Kim. It visited the dry dock, submarine repair yard and other facilities.

HSL is confident of getting the order for the construction of five FSS, each costing Rs.2,000 crore. The FSS will have a speed of 16 knots, can travel 12,000 nautical miles and have a service of 30 years with capability to carry ballistic weapons.

“Our plan is to construct one FSS at Hyundai by sending a team from our yard to South Korea to enable them to gain expertise. Later with the guidance of Hyundai, we want to build four FSS here,” Rear Admiral Mishra told The Hindu refusing to elaborate further on the project.

At the same time, HSL sources said the shipyard is also looking at tying up with South Korea lithium polymer battery manufacturer, Kokam to enhance its competencies in submarine building.........

This deal was cleared earlier, but it was cleared again with some modification. Probably to build all 5 in India and modifications to carry Mareech Anti Torpedo system and to carry missiles.
