Now back on topic, If India and Pakistan come to nuclear blows then we should blame the Indian politicians and defense people for letting the situation to that extent by the following ways

1. Not developing a credible anti-ballistic missile shield.
2. Not having the intelligence to prevent another Mumbai massacare or Kargil intrusion.
3. Not keeping Pakistan occupied with its own problem.
4. Keeping the youth occupied by providing them proper work and carefully eleminating the ones who do not fall in the line very silently.
5. Not deploying the ships, subs, ac on time to create the fear in the enemy's spine.

the points you mentioned are indeed credible, but the stakes that the US is holding right now are very dangerous for the sub-continent and indeed the whole world.

as of right now we need to build a credible BMD to counter any kind of nuclear capable missile Pakistan has including cruise missiles but AAD can intercept cruise missiles as well so in case a nuclear war occurs we are not screwed totally, we should also have a good plethora of these ABM's and radars etc

we also need to groom our SOF's training them to strike deep behind enemy lines whether it be a terror training camp or a missile base nuclear warhead production plant etc i suggest building a 2 tier system similar to the US JSOC having a Army special purpose unit and a Naval special purpose unit being tier one totaling 12,000 men (6,000 from each if possible) who would conduct only the most important priority missions behind enemy lines like destroying missiles at missile bases destroying uranium enrichment/plutonium plants etc tier 2 being for surgical strikes on terror camps

but my words above are just speculation only suggestions to help in a situation be it necessary

Yes we know it's a wet dream for some of you people that your country would be able to conduct "surgical" strikes inside Pakistani territory.

However, a dream conflicts with reality, and that reality is simple: India would not dare such a move, simply because they will get missiles back on their warmongering ***.

It's really simple, for the Indians in this thread who keep drooling over surgical strikes.

You should look from the broader perspective. For starters, who was the first to acquire nuke and using it? It created a panic across the world and everyone wanted to have it since.

On a side note.
The chances of nuclear war is there, but likelihood of it happening? I think extremely unlikely.
There is simply too much at stake, even if majority of Pakistan is hurt, India would come out worse because of their dense population and their world economical standing. It is simply too much to lose having gone so far to make all this happen.

I think most of the Indian members already said " Our Congress government don't have courage or don't want war. May be they want to buy some time. Whatever reason." I don't expect our Congress government to go against Pakistan. Wait for few more years when BJP will come in power. Then we will talk.
