IDF shoots down drone that penetrated Israeli airspace

irrespective of the result it was a pure psychological weapon and they succeeded in it.

Imagen how many Israel's r looking at the sky at night b4 sleeping.

I agree with this. Iran certainly has a long way to go in regards to Drone Technology, and they needed to send the West (and Israel) a certain message when calls for a pre-emptive strike are gathering pace -- "Iran does have the capability of Israel".

Though on paper (and from observations of "on ground" conditions) they don't, Iran wanted to send the message all the same. It serves as a deterrent and poses one important question to Strategic Minds in the West/Israel -- "How hard can Iran hit back?" rather than than "Will Iran hit back"?

Everybody around the table recognizes that Iran can't fire a nuke (theoretically they can, but could and would are two very different words) straight back - their delivery systems are untested and they probably don't even have a nuclear device ready yet. In any case, Israeli/NATO sensors would detect a missile on-way over Lebanon or another route and strike it down before it reaches Israel.

And that brings me to the third point of all of this: Iran has made the point it can get very, dangerously close to Israel's military heart.

Maybe this drone incorporated some tech from the Sentinel Iran claimed to have brought down in a controlled manner.
