Indian pilots getting to be the most experienced in terms of ejections. This is a competency they can teach to other friendly air forces. . And with each wartime ejection comes a promotion to Vice Marshal.

I think this 'losses as part of combat' is about as idiotic as Rumsfeld's 'you go to war with the army you have, not the army you want' will count right up there.

And next phase after 'all pilots came home' is to send unarmed drones.

A Pakistani military spokesperson told Reuters on Wednesday that five Indian aircraft had been shot down, but the claim was not confirmed by India.

A referendum will eventually take place in Kashmir, allowing its people to decide their future. The majority of Kashmiris are believed to favor joining Pakistan. the original reuters report on which everyone has built castles (including this ) was filed by Karachi based Idrees Ali who claimed to ThomsonReuters that he based his filing on "two unnamed Pentagon officials". Pentagaon has now summarily rejected that and in fact said they don't talk to people in Karachi. ThomsonReuters is instituting disciplanary action on Idrees Ali (who will probably claim he has a right to lie because he is Pakistani)
