GCC Seeks To Form Military Bloc With Jordan, Morocco

Manpower is the only problem GCC has, they have got everything else. Egypt can easily help them out here.

Not a pro in gulf politics

Regardless of your views about an X or Y topic, we still want to hear what an outsider think.

We respect your opinion as well.

I have a strong feeling that Saudi use their petro dollar power more than their arms strength.

It depends on the context of what you're referring to. We look forward to helping people out, at the same time when know what it takes to survive in such region to defend ourselves against in external aggression.

We don't tend to prowess our capabilities, unlike many.

Not a pro in gulf politics, but as an outsider I have a strong feeling that Saudi use their petro dollar power more than their arms strength.

Not a bad choice though unlike pakistan who always look for reason to flex muscle and tries to gain some respect in islamic world with only thing they are good in - war and fights.

Manpower is the only problem GCC has, they have got everything else. Egypt can easily help them out here.

Every country needs manpower. But small states do need them the most. So yeah, I hear you.

Lets put it this way, the ambitions of peninsular arabs are greater than their populations.

The GCC's goal is to get all the existing monarchies to create a solid political and military block to defend the perpetuation of the feudal system in place. Algeria, based on its revolutionary history will not join the GCC, that not to say, it will come to its defence if attacked, just like she did in Egypt. However, she will do everything in her power to torpedo the inclusion of Morocco. The inclusion of Morocco in the GCC will be regarded as an unfriendly gesture.

Algeria is allied to no one...She didn't do it during the cold war...And she is still member of the non-allied movement..
Bullshit, you don't know what you're on about.

The GCC doesn't intend to perpetuate any form of feudal system

It's that Abdelkader fighting spirit!

It's the lineage that does it (Hashemite).;)

The GCC is first and foremost a economic and political union that is also an military union. It's not an Islamic union and it does not aim to invite non-Arab states.

No, not really. Nothing that compulsory conscription could not handle. Besides most of the GCC countries have one of the fastest growing and youngest populations on earth.

Hashemite :yahoo:

Is the Algerian nation considered non-Arab?

He is a hero to all Muslims on this planet who know of him. Sadly brother you know I have spoken to young Algerians and they don't know who he is. The situation with expat communities in France is even worse. :(

My favourite portrait of him.

Yes, I lived in Paris for years so I know about the unfortunate situation among certain Arabs and North Africans in France.

But let us stick to the topic.:)

GCC is NOT an Islamic union. I hope that people will understand it and not discuss the union from that angle but from a purely economic, political and military (regional first and foremost) angle.

Maybe this is the case for you with Algeria.

Pakistan is a potential OBSERVER candidate in the GCC.

Algeria is an Arab country and I was not discussing Algeria.

Yes, but I highly doubt that any non-Arab state will become a member. Let's just say it as it is. Other Arab states willing to join can barely become members let alone candidates for real. We heard this news about Jordan and Morocco years ago as well and nothing happened since then.

Cool bro I will do.

Yes it's important to know it is not an Islamic union. Folks just jump to conclusions when seeing the names of the countries there.

Point taken :smart:

Gaining an observer status has nothing to do with membership. Think of it like the United States', France's, and Russia's status in the OIC.

@Yzd Khalifa

What is your honest take on us admitting Jordan and Morocco let alone poverty stricken Yemen? Jordan has the biggest chance IMO.

Not that the economies of Jordan or Morocco are great...
