GCC Seeks To Form Military Bloc With Jordan, Morocco

Yeah these arabs have nothing but disappointed in military confrontations.

.
OIC should have proposed a military bloc a long time ago.

What OIC?

Sorry but that organisation is as useful as a hamburger to a Muslim or beef burger to a Hindu. It's a fancy get together club purely for the purposes of show - similar to a display cabinet in a jewelry store.

The only true force, if it materialises is one headed by Turkey, Pakistan & Indo-Malaysia - "Force Ottoman". I think I read somewhere long time ago.

I'm afraid, seeing the performance of many Arab armies lately and historically, I fear they would embarrass their ancestors. They have neither the skill, nor fighting will, nor self sufficiency to even produce a bullet. And with aspirations of wanting to become a regional military bloc - the last is extremely critical.

That said, I hope I'm wrong (though I doubt it)

why? Don't you think that Jordan would run the risk of getting dragged into a conflict it has no business in? What if Saudi decides to fight Iran or something? Why should Jordanian soldiers die fighting a non threat country?

Isn't it basically a Sunni union?
What the hell man! After all Iran has done in the Arab world, you call it a non-threat country? And regarding your question about the reason behind Jordanian commitment to fight along the KSA. I would like to answer it with another question, why has Saudi Arabia and still been supporting Jordanian economy since the 1996s?

I can understand that you are an atheist, but should at least be an Arab.

I really hope that the GCC will transform into a Sunni Arab military and political union. This will mean all Arab countries outside of Lebanon and Iraq but those two might join too when/if the region calms down.

The Arab League is still the biggest Arab organization (political) but it needs reforms to really speak with 1 powerful voice.

The EU should be taken as an example here.

I do not understand such sentiments either. Especially not when considering the very close historical, cultural, military, economic, political etc. ties between KSA and Jordan.

It is a non-threat country to Jordan. If we join the Sunni union, then we will be their enemies but there's no need for that. They have been supporting our economy yes but only in return for being part of their proxy war with iran. This is why we train Syrian rebels (and then deny it). For them, we're basically like Bahrain. I am an Arab but I'm Jordanian first.

I believe you are more humble than what you think you are. That's because you think you're a proud Jordanian and yet say that Jordan is sold for some money to be used as a proxy. What you said is totally ridiculous and pure BS., and very insulting.

Jordan only and merely follows it's national interests first then comes the help of friendly Arab countries. Jordan did not act the way Saudi Arabia wanted, it was very cautious in supporting picked moderate FSA members in the Southern Syria in order to prevent any extremists infiltration in there and also open the possibility of moving Syrian refugees in Jordan to camps in Southern Syria, that was the plan. It's a win-win situation. Iran IS an enemy, it kills and fights Muslims anywhere it can reach just because they are Sunni, and if we don't act now, our turn will come for sure. Look around you and see what Iran tried to do in Bahrain, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, Iraq and even Egypt. Arab national security is part and parcel of Jordan national security.

Jordanian Joint Special Operations Tasks
Tactical Tasks:
  • Occupying airborne bridge-head to assist ground forces.
  • Conducting raids on enemy HQs, artillery sites, missile sites, roads and any other significant key targets.
  • Airborne and air assault operations.
  • Armor hunting.
  • Strategic reconnaissance missions.
  • Organizing, training and developing guerrilla forces.
  • Operating behind enemy lines.
  • Assaulting captive cells and freeing POWs.
  • Urban area operations.
  • Readiness to assist any Arab brethren countries upon request.
  • Search and rescue operation.

Exactly, Jordan follows what's in its national interest. A part of that is cooperating with the GCC economically. However, they don't need military assistance and I don't think they officialy requested any assistance. Different factions in all those countries you listed have already chosen a side in this proxy war and so they became battlefields(btw, Saudi Arabia plays a significant role in fueling the conflict in Syria). Jordan has remained neutral and peaceful and although Jordanian muslims are Sunni, there are no sectarian feelings for the most part. It's just my opinion that it would be a bad idea to join a military bloc in a region prone to war and destruction. We should be more like Switzerland. Again, just my opinion.

You can't be Switzerland while Iran and ISIL likes are around. I believe that no countries that are more peaceful than Bahrain and the UAE but when you have such an evil country like Iran around, you must prepare for any conflict soon.

My friend, I always say this, Syrians before 2011, used to badmouth Arabs especially the ones with monarchy regimes, and they used to defend and support Iran and Hizbullah. Then, how did Iran repay them? I think you know that. If you don't act and support your friends in need your turn will come, at the time you will be all alone. :)

It is time that Muslim countries form an economic, military and cultural union. A non-aggressive alliance that can be aggressive if someone tries to s"chi"ity - -

Not only GCC but every Muslim country. This will really destroy the Jihad narrative and some that are criminal elements will be much easier to deal with.

I wish Arabs and Pakistani motherlands stop filling their schoffins.
