Fourteen Iranian security forces kidnapped on border with Pakistan

Manning such borders with personnel used for ensuring defense is always going to result in losses in favor of the attacker whom are more concealed and have a hit & run plan whereas the defender cannot win. Technology and ground made obstacles are the way forward for this

Modern border walls + radars + sensors + infrared and motion detection camera's + weapons/rifles and drones controlled from distance. Technology needs less manpower and saves lifes of soldiers.

Fars news posted a segment that some knock out gas canister was thrown in their compound at 4:00am when they were sleeping, and then they were carried out unconscious inside Pakestan.

Also its a very long border! These terrorists/ drug smugglers sneak in and they are heavily armed. Then they run back inside your country.

This is an abduction case right now, but if they are harmed, then Iran will take action.

Sounds like a Tom Clancy novel.

Sweet dish from rice

It means penis in Farsi.

Latest reports indicate their last meal was poisoned......these guys lay knocked out in their base! Someone on the inside poisoned their food. The terrorists carried them unconscious inside pakestan. Obviously some intelligence outfit organized this whole thing. All the abducted basij volunteers are all local Iranian Baloch people.

TEHRAN (FNA)- Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour announced his forces' preparedness to launch joint operations against the terrorists who have abducted 11 Iranian border guards in Southeastern Iran.
"We have had different contacts with the Pakistani army and urged them to guarantee extradition of the outlaws and healthiness of the abductees and they should show more responsibility," General Pakpour said on Tuesday.

"These terrorists have a stronghold and a base on Pakistan's soil and we are prepared for any joint operations with the Pakistani army against the outlaws to release the hostages," he added.

The IRGC Ground Force in a statement on Tuesday blasted the foreign enemies for the abduction of 11 Iranian Basijis (volunteer forces) and border guards by a terrorist group in Mirjaveh border in Southeastern Sistan-Balouchestan province on Monday night.

"Last night (Monday night) a number of Basij forces and forces of border regiment who were stationed in the zero border point in Mirjaveh were kidnapped by counterrevolutionary groups," the public relations of the IRGC Ground Force's Qods Headquarters said in its statement.

The IRGC pointed to the fortified positions of Iranian border regiment, and said, "Members of a terrorist group that is supported by foreign intelligence services after deceiving some traitors managed to abduct Iran's border guards along the common border with Pakistan."

It noted that the operations against the terrorists and the outlaws as well as the needed measures to set free the abducted Basijis and border guards tops agenda of the security forces stationed along the border regions, and said, "We expect the Pakistani government to seriously deal with the outlaws and terrorists who are stationed along the borders and are supported by some reactionary countries of the region while expediting releasing the abducted Basijis and handing them over to border guards."

According to reports, the incident happened in Lulakdan village, near the border of Pakistan, at around 4 a.m. local time.

The Iranian forces were participating in a plan to boost the security of Mirjaveh border unit.

where does such a wall exist today?? in israel only probably, and that's a much smaller wall

iran doesnt have the money for 1000km of walls with radars and sensors etc

So it was an inside job, yet Pakistan is to blame? You have more than Pakistan to worry about if you are allowing terrorists to infiltrate into the ranks of your armed forces.

If you guys really want to put the blame on Pakistan, maybe your government should hire Pakistan Army as contractors. I'm sure Pakistan army can protect your border guards.

Iran has the technology and i'm noticing many Iranian students(whom just came from Iran) at the technical university i'm at. The country has enough resources with technical skills to find solutions. Or there's the option to buy.

How the hell do 14 members of a professional army get "kidnapped"?

I agree with some of the Pakistani people here, this is the fault mainly of Iranian security incompetence. For sure these militants have safe haven in Pakistani side, but this happened in the Iranian side so what kind of border security is this to let so many terrorists enter, take your soldiers (who don't fight back??), then leave with them!

but it is difficult because hezbollah did this a lot with israeli soldiers too, but israel border very small so easy to build a wall, iran-pakistan border is 1000km!
There are cross border-raids on Pakistani forces too. We need joint-patrolling and surveillance.

Interesting statement.

I dont know what and where muslim ummah is going they are fighting themselves on useless issues tgey lack islamic vision and leadership islam is bigger than countries they should have seen the greater good ratgervthan fighting for their egos this is what ebemies of islam wants

They got poisoned before they kidnapped.

And getting poisoned in your own army base is somehow Pakistan's fault? Buddy very recently an army parade was attacked in one of your cities, instead of waving your missile you should have worked on improving your security and punishing the incompetent intelligence for it's failure.

Raising militias and sending them to die for you in another country is easy, but guarding your own borders is difficult? And any failures should be pinned on Pakistan?

Iran and Pakistan should obliterate these terrorist groups inside Pakistan once and for all.

These terrorist attacks at our borders with Pak are too fishy.

How about we start from Chahbahar, Pakistani army should help Iranian forces sweep Chahbahar and cleanse it of miscreants and financiers ........ this may help in reduction of such incidents at borders.

LOL .... you people are living on borrowed time, you guys have no where to run but Pakistan when shit hits the fan. You better watch your mouth.

They are Saudi backed mercenaries which got safe heaven in Pakistan.
Pakistan must know Iran patience have limit.

LOL, you speak words bigger than your mouth.

Be careful, This Time is not like past kidnapping case.

Go make ur threats elsewhere. Just recently Kulbhushan Yadav(an Indian agent working against Pak) was caught who had Iranian citizenship and came through Iran. Get ur own house in order before pointing fingers.

Pakistan has no animosity with Iran but if u r dying to create one more enemy then so be it. Just keep in mind Iran has a long list of enemies and Iran is surrounded by its enemies too. Don't create animosity where none exists.
