CLEARLY neither the IAF nor the Indian PM has much confidence in the Su30MKI or upgraded Mig29s. Despite having over 300+ MKI and 29s, the IAF failed to down a single PAF jet.

The fact of the matter is this ex is doing Modi's bidding for him for two reasons.

1- The military point of view in India always had been that the politicians had always been very slow to act on military's procurement requirements, which impacts their fighting capabilities.

2- To save the Indian Army's ultra ego. To fool their public that they are still "super power". The only reason they couldn't respond to Pakistan's daylight bravery is that they didn't have the hardware to do so, otherwise they would have wiped PAF.
