Don't bring Islam into this. Now that you have, prove it to me that tax avoidance is not allowed in Islam.
You should have set this warning before.
Anyhow Islam has to be there because all discussion is about judging IK on grounds of article 62-63.
While being member of majlis shoura, he should be judged more strictly.
Any illegal activity is forbidden in Islam and so is tax evading/dodging. Cheating the public system is forbidden, any such attempt amounts to injustice with people.
Please use the correct term of Tax avoidanceIK dodged taxes, very true; but taxes of UK and not Pakistan.
Please use the correct term of Tax avoidance
Still waiting for you to prove that tax avoidance is forbidden in Islam.
You are already answered.
Masla Uk walon ko hona chahiye hamain is sey koyi masla nahi
IK didn't want to pay Capital Gains Tax on the sale of the flat so flat purchase by an offshore company was made. That didn't break any law when the property in question was sold as offshore companies selling a property in UK were exempt from CGT!
UK Taxation laws were changed in 2013 and further this year so this exemption no longer applies. Whereas the flat was sold in 2000-2001 when offshore companies were exempt from CGT. IK was also no longer a resident of UK by 1999 so any moneys from the offshore company to him would have zero UK income tax implications.
If idiots here want to sensationalise this (and those few are obvious such as @Fallen King ), then go ahead ... no one will buy your nonsense and HMRC (UK tax office) officers would laugh at you!
UK Taxation laws was changed in 2013, not 2000/2001. What Imran Khan did is the example of his mannerism for speaking. His ways of going around the system suggests he is anything but the law abiding citizen. And it is not coincident why there is rumor about misuse on the fund bankrolled dharnas for months.
Not to mention, the size of Bani Gala house and the pricey apartment are accumulated as wealth [assets] despite the fact that Imran Khan never had stable job after 1992 as cricketer which back then wasn't much money to be made.
And that is the man you wanna put on the leadership of Pakistan with the money of tax payers people on hand despite the fact that he is not law abiding citizen is going to presume lecture on the nation how to be lawful abiding nation.
If you found my post nonsense, then you could have easily ignored my post. Rather you resorted to personal tactical as opposed to respond in mature way. In a way you have put yourself on the map of nonsense.
Blah blah blah ... Usual BS out of you!
What IK did was LEGAL ... only fools like you are making an issue out of it.
Btw, you do know that receiving gifts of money (such as Nawaz got from his son) is taxable income in UK whereas in Pakistan it is not.
So now, would you say that a relative in another country gifting another relative money in Pakistan would be illegal?
Laws of country define what's legal and illegal, not fools like you who are claiming something perfectly legal to be otherwise!
