What's new

Five FC soldiers martyred in two attacks in Balochistan

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un , may Allah devastate the terrorists.

Not just armoured vehicles but where are the terrorists getting the training from and the sophisticated IEDs? Why isn't Pakistan reciprocating against the terrorist head? We need to change our approach in Baluchistan and formulate a new strategy to ensure peace.

100% agreed.

The strategy is fine

This is simply how it is until we grind our enemies down

All of you will have to understand this, there is no mass enemy army to target

The enemy holds no ground

We are fencing the border's and will start coming up with more border strategies

Through IBOs we regularly target and neutralise the enemy

These are wide open areas where the terrorists look like any other slum dweller until they pick up a weapon

Large scale operations have limited use simply because WHO will you target unless they have a big sign on the top of their heads saying TERRORIST

We have bought peace to Pakistan and we have two areas left that is Waziristan and the backwaters of Balochistan

The population there are small, the locals are jahils and idiots and support these terrorists in many ways

And the Pakistani strategy is simple, confine the enemy
Bring development to those who want it and support it
And try to close the net on those who dont

When we do this our enemy REACTS so this is inevitable

I personally support making the lives of the terrorist supporting locals increasingly difficult and make terrorism costly for them in Waziristan and parts of Balochistan

But if you look at them they already live like animals

So what do you do? Give them more investment and carry out IBOs until they learn which will take years or punish them for their activities by cutting electricity etc

This is not like India where there is mass hatred and poison being spread
This is dealable but it is what it is until we grind them down

You clearly have no idea about security dynamics of Balochistan

We are losing the upper hand that we gained under Raheel Sharif tenure. Terrorists are scoring kills with ease and good numbers without losing their own in equal or more numbers in return. Their moral is high because of such successful attacks and lack of action by Pakistani state

Our security establishment is completely clueless and is using FC Balochistan as cannon fodder

You should stop mocking our dead by such posts. Posts like yours are an insult to dead cannon fodder of FC Balochistan

Five FC soldiers martyred in two attacks in Balochistan

Saleem Shahid

QUETTA: Five members of the Frontier Corps were martyred and two others injured in two attacks in different areas of the province.

In one incident, which took place in the western bypass area of the provincial capital on Thursday, an FC soldier was martyred and two others were injured when a remote-controlled bomb fixed to a motorcycle parked at the roadside exploded, as an FC vehicle was passing by.

"The bomb blast took place near the official vehicle of the Frontier Corps in which one FC soldier was martyred on the spot and two other soldiers were injured," senior police officer Shaukat Mohmand told Dawn, adding that the blast badly damaged the vehicle.

"An improvised explosive device strapped to a motorcycle parked at the roadside was detonated with a remote control," the police officer said.

Personnel of FC and police rushed to the area after the blast and took victims of the blast to a hospital.

In the second incident, four soldiers of Frontier Corps were martyred in an attack by armed men on their check-post in Kahan area of Kohlu district.

Sources said the armed men opened fire on Zaman Khan check-post the other day which resulted in the martyrdom of four FC soldiers while another was injured.

Yaar I agree with you, that we are indeed losing FC

Every soldiers life is precious and we MUST come up with new strategies to protect our forces

But let me ask you how many FC did we lose in 2020, add them all.up it will probably be between 50-100

Some months were quiet and had nothing, other months 1 or 2

Some months the terrorists managed a IED or something

Almost always in the middle of nowhere,

PAKISTAN population of 220 million protected and shielded

The same goes for Waziristan

There was a glacial flood in India a few weeks ago 200+ dead

UK covid death toll last year's 50,000+

So our 50-100 in Balochistan is small

Again the enemy holds no territory
It is angry at our fencing and border plans
Our enemy is indeed being targeted both inside and outside PAKISTAN especially in Afghanistan

We MUST stay the course and grind them down whilst finding better ways to respond and arm our FC better and protect them better

I am in NO WAY saying the death of any soldier is acceptable just that the strategy we have is the right one but it will take time

Secure the border's,
Stop any crossing
Target our enemies everywhere
Grind them down

The question is when you are angry it's easy to say let them live like animals,
There has been many times after seeing the PTM types that I have felt that we should cut elec for long periods of time
Cut the internet
Provide no services
Let them live like animals
And provide services to the areas that don't support fassad
But is that helping? Will that break them and make them.behave or will it make them more pig headed

.
Attacking a check post and getting away with it is simply not acceptable.

Check posts are elective structures. These needs to be looked at critically as to create criss crossing lines of fire and may b there some grenade launchers and rpgs in every post

.
OK , so what is the solution for this?-
"The population there are small, the locals are jahils and idiots and support these terrorists in many ways"

It's difficult

We have two options

1- We provide them with investment, build infrastructure, provide jobs etc in the hope that they see the sense in leaving armed conflict and becoming humans

2- We break them, we provide next to nothing to them
Let them live in dirt, let their children be jahil idiots
Poor services,poor infrastructure
Punish them until they break and beg for change and investment

What PAKISTAN is doing is kind of a in-between option
We have limited funds but development is indeed happening across Pakistan

If you look at KP areas such as Bajur, Mohmand, swat etc which were under Taliban influence and control have been cleared, no terrorism occurs there, development is happening and slowly things are improving for the people

Waziristan is a snakes nest, the people are jahils, they do nothing but create fassad and want development for free whilst crying about Afghanistan

Same goes for most of Balochistan, where in peaceful areas change is happening, as CPEC continues more projects come online

But the backwaters are like walking into the 10th century

So what Pakistan is planning is to isolate the fassad from the rest of more peaceful Pakistan

Start with fencing but eventually more stronger border management where crossing is impossible or very dangerous/difficult

Rather then massive operations, IBOs to target specific individuals and gangs

Investment in peaceful areas

Limited investment in the jahil areas until we can secure the area and the locals stop being jahils

Eventually this strategy will work

In the meantime we need solutions to better protect our soldiers
Better intelligence
Drones etc to limit deaths even further

Our bigger problem is POLITICS

our military has saved Pakistan, PTI for its part is a patriotic party

The rest however are vipers, unless we can defeat PNLn, PPP they will try undo any gains

. .
IED's again!

Brazen attacks on check posts again!

FC again!

Military leadership and interior ministry can we have some action?

Apart from PDF and other Pakistanis offering prayers, which is important, that's the only thing that happens. I'm surprised men still join the FC in Baluchistan given the casualty rate .
Allah rest your souls brothers.

The upper hand that we gained during Raheel Sharif tenure is lost

100%, I'd go as far as to say that it was lost the day he left office.
Just shocking.
What the hell are the drones doing that were bought?

What is going on? im reading news every other day that our soldiers are being martyred in IED attacks and no action is being taken , but at least bajwa is able to sleep at night . Really we are missing general Raheel Shareef.

Blood for blood, don't know for how long we will follow this passive approach. India and Indians should burn, for every Pakistani dead 10 should be killed in India. We know the supporters/financiers of these terrorists, why are we silent?

I fail to understand, money will stay here, FATF or any other agency will find some other excuse. Is China dictating our passive policy towards Kashmir? Stop acting like Indians, we aren't followers of Chanakya, we are simple but brave people. Fight till the death, if it leads to nukes then be it. One may disagree with Zia all he can, but he wasn't a coward like the current leadership.

...where are the terrorists getting the ... sophisticated IEDs?
Sir they call it improvised explosive device because it can be created out of basic commodities.

.
The second we get removed from the greylist we should launch a full scale crackdown on these rats and their handlers.

.
Trolling
Nation pays when an incompetent and low IQ level person like IK becomes PM. Similarly foot soldier pays with their lives when equally incompetent and mentally weak person like Baja becomes army chief. Then situation goes worse when this mentally weak incompetent person gets 3 years of extension by incompetent PM.

There is no doubt Pak is stuck between corrupts and traitors on one side and incompetents on other side.
