Gentlemen, with all due respect your different opinions, which are all well received...

Some input from my side, since I have served both with army and FC....

First, FC is not under control of Army or even COAS...

FC is under MOI and they control its use like Army HQ does for its under-command formations.

I havent seen anyone from MOI visiting FC troops deployed in Balochistan for the last 3 years or so.

Not only MOI, but there are other departments as well responsible for weapon / equipment of FC which need to get their act straight...

Money is absolutely no problem for FC, I would say they have much more than army, and fewer restrictions than army on procurement as well....

Problem is not with FC troops, they fight well... Problem lies in the departments which control them, which are not even present in the province....

Otherwise.... FC training, doctrine, equipment, pay scales, rules, regulations.... Everything is entirely different from army... In my opinion, blaming COAS for mismanagement in FC would be unfair...

Even then if we want to blame someone, then let's choose someone from ministry of interior which is the real GHQ of FC.... Not the army GHQ.....

Police force ought be 50/50
50% personnel from armed forces with 2 year service and other 50% civilian because its a requirement given internal security issues. If we can do that we wouldn't have to depend so much on FC.
Policing internal security issues is the elephant in the room that no one wants to look at. But grudge ego and rishtaydari is issue poisoning us to the core.
Military thinks that civilian institutions are incompetent and corrupt so they use it to their advantage.
Civilians institutions think military too powerful that they need to ally themselves with corrupt or whatever stooges.

There is no doubt Zardari and Sharif has done corruption to such a level that this comes in treason. But their corruption does not justify the incompetency of IK and Bajwa. The nation will remain like this as it is today or will become more worse by each passing day till people sitting in top most hierarchy does surgery of this nation. Not possible under IK especially as long as Bajwa is here.

I remember Zardari was on self exile in Dubai for one and a half year after he gave a speech against Raheel Sharif and army. But then Zardari came back to Pak immediately within one month after Bajwa became chief because Bajwa was not Raheel Sharif. Raheel Sharif use to be the first person who visits the incident whenever there was major terrorist attack. Can we say the same about Bajwa. Sometimes these optics does matter.

Raheel took the action in north waziristan soon after the terrorists attacked Karachi airport and he didn't wait for NS who was outside the country at that time.

MQM would have still alive today with Altaf Hussain and its terrorist wing if Bajwa was army chief rather RS after Altaf Hussain gave one speech against Pak. How many times PTM gave speeches against Pak & army but what actions Bajwa took against PTM in his 4 years of tenure. We even know the PTM has links with NDS but Bajwa couldn't tame PTM because this is beyond his capabilities.

I remember Raheel Sharif spoke about Iran publicly for allowing Indian terrorist activities in Balochistan through Kalbuhsan Singh Yadiv at the time when Rouhani was in Islamabad. Please let me know how many times Bajwa spoke about BLA and its bases in Iran. Leave Iran, Bajwa even doesn't talk about NDS activities publicly.

This was Raheel Sharif who speed up the process of sending Afgans back to Pak and numbers of Afgans who went to Afganistan were in lacs while Bajwa reversed the process. Also RS was also the one who started fencing the Afgan border.

There was one Dawn news against army and Raheel took action in such a way that whole NS govt was shaken. But in Bajwa's tenure, no such example exist in entire history of Pak the way army and its sitting chief is maligned openly by NS, Mariam Nawaz, PTM, Zardari, Fazul Rehman, in media, Parliament, 2nd tier opposition, talk shows etc. Did we see any action from Bajwa. Actually Bajwa deserves this insult after all this was Bajwa who was instrumental in sending NS abroad.

Geo New and Jung had to apologize when it aired news against ISI chief only because Bajwa was not chief at that time.

FM Shah mehmood qureshi gave one mild statement against Saudia for not supporting Kashmir cause in OIC and Bajwa with ISI chief went to Saudia soon afterwards where they were met by only 32 years old deputy defense minister Khalid bin Salaman bin Abdulaziz and these 2 God fathers insulted the whole Pak nation.

Till Jan, 2021 Pak had a stance that Pak will not speak to India until India reverses its action of 5 Aug, 2019 in Kashmir and then few days ago, Bajwa was offering peace talks to India.

Please let me know what achievements Bajwa has made that he deserved a full 3 years extension. Did IK not give extension to Bajwa for the sake of his own govt. Justice Khosa may have his own prejudice but he was 100 percent right in opposing Bajwa's extension.

I do know that the terrorist activities in Pak has reduced significantly now if you compare it to 2007 - 2010 due to actions taken mainly in tenure of Kiyani and RS. All the credit cannot be given to Bajwa and situation would have been much better if Bajwa was not chief today.

Through I guess Areesh goes to extremism that COAS is missing the will to launch an operation but his overall stance is to the point. As we are building fences at Afghan border which is alright, but back in our mind it changes ourselves.
That change is defensive stance that we have to guard the fences/border. Now compare to if border was open and shoot at sight order, for any illegal crossing, was given, which changes the psyche of the guarding soldier. He starts his day that he could have an engagement today and remain alert and proactive.

So besides our int ops in Baluchistan and AFG, the architects of all the activities must be targeted. We are after the 'labourers'.
