That's over reliance on soft kill against SAMs
Remember Modern SAMs can be well covered by ground based ECM/ESM systems and they come with their own anti jamming capabilities also so solely relying on Spectra is not going to work i guess.

Exactly. Even F-18 has veryy advanced EW and carry in the same time ARM type AGM-88 HARM. He stated that relaying on SPECTRA to locate and neutralize enemy's radar will come with less accuracy.
But he said "We had the Martel, we had this capacity there was a choice again with the peace dividend (budget management i think)" then he also said that the french MoD is working on resubmitting a new ARM.

Different news :
- Some said it has 40% more range than legacy MICA.
At least one MICA was fired by a Taiwanese M2000 against a flying target in late 90's at a range of 67km. 67km + 40% = 94km.
- In the last Air & Cosmos special edition (see below) about rafale F5 they wrote : 130km for MICA EM and 100km for MICA IR. It seems a little bit optimistic.

Egypt has 3 manufacturers, each factory has a research and development unit through 40 factories, and we have the Military Technical College and the Technical Institute, all of which provide annual research. The problem is failed leaders, meager numbers of scientific research, and low salaries, besides government agencies. Next to Egypt, it has a large base for research bodies, and of course everyone refuses to cooperate with them, except for some young, naive young people who are under the illusion that they are patriots.
We are a private sector, the military sector fights any company that works in military research, except through soldiers who are experts in failure
