Do you support Azadi March?

I have said this repeatedly, and I don't know how I will get people to understand it. Follow the procedure,
What procedure? the same one that can bend to your whims if you pay the right price?
don't feed inqilaabi and revolutionary jargon to the masses. IK is not helping Pakistan but rather helping destroy Pakistan.
Well since we dont have this mindset for change that is why we find anything new as jargon and threatening!

I SUPPORT the azaadi march but please let us not undermine the operation our armed forces are conducting in North Waziristan. I mean i don't wnat the terrorists let of the hook due to political parties fighting it out for the throne.

Secondly i hope this march finally ends in some true results and is not just a waste of a week. Where billions are spent on security arrangements and nothing is achieved.

I personally don't just because of the simple unanswered questions

1) Constitutionally there is no way for the government to topple unless desired by the Federal Government itself so we are talking about extra-judicial activities most likely the Army imposing the egypt-like martial law once again and enforcing everyone to start packing their bags. In this case I believe the Supreme Court is likely to take a stand and the whole country will be brought to anarchy

2) If the government is toppled who is going to become the caretaker? General Raheel?

3) If we do find an alternative solution after the government is toppled and another 2013-like caretaker set up is formed then what is going to be the criteria for that? Who is going to authorise such a set up and what are the chances that such set up will remain corruption free?

4) There has not been any changes to the Election Commission so if the fresh elections are called, isn't it going to be the repeat telecast of what happened in 2013.

5) What happens to the Operation Zarb e Azb if the government is toppled under current scenario. The army itself may find itself in critical situation if the country is brought to anarchy and stay orders or authorised system is not in place to manage the financial affairs and fulfil needs of the Army

6) What happens to our credibility in the world? The foreign policy, bilateral agreements since the last year etc

7) Both World Bank and IMF appreciated the efforts made by the government and approved loans for Dasu and several other energy related projects. They were not willing to negotiate with the last government, what happens if the government is toppled? Are they going to back off from their offers?

8) The government claims to have kick-started both short term (about 5000mw of electricity due to be added in the national grid within the next 3-4 years) and long term (about 30,000mw of electricity I see on records) in order to overcome the energy crisis. What happens if the government is toppled? Will the current government not claim in public that they were heading towards right direction with proof in hand and that they were not allowed to work for the welfare of people.

9) The government had initiated a moto of "4 E's" that is (Education, Economy, Energy and Extremism) and it is the first time that the government had taken a step for complete annihilation of extremism in the country regardless of the affiliation of groups the terrorists belonged to. The government will have a valid reason to claim that they were dealing with the 4 ultimate menace of the country and they were about to break the shackle of poverty and so on.

There are many more valid questions in mind but I don't want to increase the length of this post. I know some of my PTI friends may not take this post lightly and may use inappropriate language but I despite being the PTI voter strongly condemns the nonsensical Azadi March and disagree with all the outcomes that are apparently coming to light.

You can guide me for better solution of what happens after the Azadi march and I might be convinced. PTI resigning from the national assembly is a good political tactic and PTI may gain a lot by resigning and becoming "masoom" before the public claiming we didn't want to be part of the "dhandli zada parliament" and that we are striving for genuine democracy. It is a similar card to what PPP back those days used to do when they weren't able to perform well and played innocence card to seek votes. PTI on the other hand has not tasted the joy of Federal Government so they remain clean and genuine.

Imran should stop being so over ambitious & stop this drama,When Elections were being held last May i remember a good majority of Pakistanis supported IK & now major number of them don't support IK.He should concentrate on Delving the promises in his manifestos & building party base in Punjab & Sindh

I absolutely don't support IK and Qadri long marches and revolution talk! I think the OP has made some good points and I need not repeat that. Also to be noted that this forum's Pakistani members, perhaps due to the exposure to so many other members, are well aware of the risks of such agitational politics with particular reference the recent experiences in some Muslim countries.

Here are some other points to consider:
1) So far, in Pakistani politics, abrupt political changes have only happened when an alternate major player was available. The three major alternate sources have been the military, the PPP, and PMLN. This time none of them want to interrupt the current setup. I am pretty sure PTI is not an alternate yet. And please don't get me started on Qadri!
2) IF, somehow, the current govt. is toppled in such a way neither the PPP nor PMLN get a major stake next time then rest assured that both of these parties are more than capable of long marches with massive number of people. We will be back to square one in not only politics but also any gains in economy and investment will be lost.

security security security ... fck the rest ... Pakistan cannot handle an internal strife as the extremists enemies may strike

I am so glad this is the forum where before elections 95% of the members were voting in favour of PTI but when the sanity needs to prevail there has been more votes casted against the long march as compared to favour of long march.

Let the sanity prevail, there has not been happy faces coming out of K-P government itself, if PTI was in power it would not have been any different for the reason that it has proven to be similar in K-P government, slightly better yes but definitely having a tough competition with Punjab government's performance. So it is not true that the rivers of milk are flowing. The progress is being made and they must put all efforts to make it so worthy that it starts counting and they can ask for votes on the basis of performance they have made in K-P.

Fight for the reforms in election commission, fight for fair rights of everybody but under the parameters to existing set up.

Tahir ul Qadri is going to be humiliated soon, I fear he may commit suicide after witnessing so little response if he does launch a march against the government, I wish better and prosperous future for Pakistan's second largest political party but only if they start realising they have already become the second biggest party in Pakistan. In order to gain more votes, they are losing and leaving behind their old supporters.

A political party rising from dust to become the second largest party especially in the country where family politics has gripped since centuries itself is a big achievement. They need to realise this achievement and be content with it. A party having 0 votes comes to take over 7 million votes is a big achievement, they need to absorb this truth and move on.

So ok for a minute let's assume Nooras decide to step down and hold re election like Imran wants.

So then what? under the same system same result will come. what then?

ANOTHER RE ELECTION? UNTIL IK wins? Sorry IK i thought he was above this type of nonsense

Yes sure Damocrazy process, rigging elections then fake mandate, sure need to go in the parliament of fake mandate holders, I mean bring better joke then that, will you?
I am against this current system as you are, I'm very well aware how PMLN and PPP looted us and how both political mafia bad for Pakistan, my point is that both IK and TuQ are not a fit persons and timing is very wrong for any topple the govt relies.
KPK public give PTI a mandate what's their fault if PTI resign from KPK govt for Four seat results in Punjab?

it took PTI 14 months to exhaust our legal options, and some guy throned himself with help of external support and rigging, and the guy opens a thread says, he is not in favor of supporting dethroning a rigger !!

imagine who you are, if you donot favor exposing a thief !

He is going to fall very badly for betraying KPK people.

hmm, never thought about it that way.

Expose by staying within the parameters of the constitution. We did not vote for them to start giving us impression of these parties being controlled by other elements besides the party itself. We wanted to see a true democratic party in Pakistan but so far it seems the party has not learnt to gel together after gaining some ground after the general elections and there has been tons of rifts within PTI. It is time for them to reorganise themselves and perform in whatever ground they have gained after the general elections. The solution to PTI's problem is found within the parliament by creating political pressure on the government to make electoral reforms, create a fair ground for elections before ever demanding for midterm elections. For me they should be asserting on e-voting technology, new election commissioner, exposing corruption, putting pressure on the government for working more n more on energy, extremism, education and health sector rather than wasting billions of rupees of the public by shutting down the businesses and holding the entire city hostage and leading us to the state of anarchy.

If the government is toppled under current scenario it only means that the constitution is violated once again and the army takes over. Does PTI want that? if not then what other option is there before they can convince us the general voters about the right time for midterm election? If the government resigns tomorrow and the elections are held at this scenario when the election commission is not even as powerful as they were in 2013, where are we heading to? On top of that, they only find the time when we are fighting the ultimate war against terrorism.

I don't want to see the repeat of 2013 General Elections, i want them to work towards improving the the election process and making it possible for the government to hold free n fair elections
