Do you guys feel scared to sleep alone?

Had a real issue when I was a kid, my imagination much to blame, nowadays days I consume horror movies, books, youtube stories all the time as that imagination ended up triggering a love for a spooky setting. Do I get scared sometimes because of this? Pretty much the point tbh, would I give it up just because of that? No way! I say keep watching horror movies or whatever, you'll eventually end up immune if that's what you want instead of the cold turkey approach. :enjoy:

Very sorry about your issue OP.. for whatever it's worth, I will say a prayer for you.

I myself and not scared to sleep alone.

Although there are times where I take a dose a anti-anxiety medication to help me calm my hectic mind before sleep.

I was alone at home and I watch Evil Dead movie....Man I can't sleep for many days always looking under my bed.

the solution is to get married and have kids

the only scary thing then will be trying to avoid painful kicks to the eye socket, kidneys and ball sack. Mostly by your kids ;)

Hes the fellow who's acting as your confidante more so than your human buddy and would rat on you to supply sensitive information related to your past to a fortuneteller's Jin etc . The intensity could decrease or become dormant over time

Follow the Prophetic Sunnah which is quite easy and practical than these experimental long chilla's.

1 time Ayatul Kursi , 1 time last two verses of Al baqarah and



Surah IKhlas , Falak , Naas thrice . Every time you complete Ikhlas , Falak , Naas set in Quranic order blow it on your Palms and than rub it gently across your entire body starting from head to toe then repeat it for two more times.
Indeed, All Quran is a cure of hearts.

وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلْقُرْءَانِ مَا هُوَ شِفَآءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۙ وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ إِلَّا خَسَارًا
Arberry: And We send down, of the Koran, that which is a healing and a mercy to the believers; and the unbelievers it increases not, except in loss.
Al Isra 82

أَلَا بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ ٱلْقُلُوبُ
And there is contentment of heart only in the Remembrance of Allah.

Remembrance is a constant thing. It is not a chilla.

Hi guys if similar thread has been discussed earlier then sorry and mods can delete this thread.....

Actually I always wanted to know how other people feel if they have to sleep alone in some hotel room...... due to my job I sometimes have to travel and obviously have to stay in hotels.....

I don't know why but whenever I travel and return to my room at the end of the day toughest part of my travel journey begins.....

My mind unwantedly starts thinking about dead people, ghost stories..... I feel so scared that whole night I'm forced to keep my room lights on and keep TV running.... almost up to 4 am I keep watching action movies to feel better..... I don't even drink a water so I don't have to go to loo alone in the night...... in such cases I end up sleeping till late and it affects my next day schedule..... even at home if I have to stay alone I sleep but can't sleep without lights on..... don't know what to do..... if you guys have such problems please share.....
There's a whole field of sleep specialists precisely for this reason. What you're going through is quite common for people born post 1984. As a child you may have had sleep preturbances such as night terrors and recurrent nightmares etc., Now when you're going to sleep and your mind starts wandering that's a very specific brain nural pathway being activated which is geared towards making you survive and by feeding it with information such as social media or movies you're cranking it to high gear. If there isn't a threat then the brain will create one. What can help is to establish a sleep routine and focus on sleep hygiene: stop mobile use like an hour or two before sleeping, if you cannot then listen to some nature sounds such as gentle rain or even ambient city sounds (you'd need to experiment) secondly, I'd suggest establishing a routine of checking out the premises where you're to sleep in the morning and before kicking in. Show your brain there's nothing to worry about. Our brains are geared towards routine so changing places to sleep is something that effects them negatively but by addressing the main triggers you can have better sleep. Meditation and breathing exercises would help too, just simple breath counting should suffice, it takes 3 mins minimum to kick in though so stick to it
