Modernization

Erciyes: Avionics modernization of 7 x C-130E, 6 x C-130B (+6 x C-130E ex Saudi Herc's). Flight tests to commence shortly.

Ari: Avionics modernization of 55 x T-38A Talon. First prototype first flew late last year.

Peace Onyx III: CCIP modernization of 37 x Block 30, 165 x FBlock 40/50 F-16s. Underway, to be completed 2013-2014.

Isik: Avionics modernization and recce pod integration of 18 x RF-4E's; redesignated as RF-4ETM, to be completed 2Q 2011.

Simsek: Local avionics upgrade of 16 x F-4E's, redesignated as F-4ETM. Completed.

Helimod: Avionics modernization and HEWS / IRCM / DIRCM integration to Turkish Army & Gendarmerie S-70, AB-204, AB-205 and AS-532AL/UL helicopters. Underway.

Meltem II: Mission system integration to Turkish Navy CN-235MPA and ATR-72ASW and Turkish Coast Guard CN-235MSA aircraft. Underway.




Development & Licensed Production

TFX aircraft: Concept design commenced with USD 20mil budget. First flight planned around 2020 - 2025.

F-35: Level III partner; 100+16 to be ordered.

Peace Onyx IV: 30 x F-16C/D Block 50+ being produced under license at TAI. Delivery to commence May 2011.

Regional passenger aircraft: Development order given by government. Possible first flight 2020 - 2025.

Hurkus: Turboprop trainer aircraft, two variants; Hurkus A (basic trainer), Hurkus B (advanced trainer, armed version as option)

KT-1T: Turboprop trainer aircraft. Derived from KT-1C of KAI, licensed production underway with first 5 KAI produced examples delivered.

Anka: MALE UAV; two versions; Anka A FLIR, Anka B FLIR + SAR; possible Anka C with turboprop engine

T-129 ATAK: Attack & tactical recce helicopter based on A-129 with advanced engines, indigenous avionics & weapon systems.

Light multipurpose helicopter: Developed by Istanbul Technical University, first flight soon.

General multipurpose helicopter: 121 (+98 option) license production with indigenous avionics. Candidates Sikorsky S-70i and Agusta Westland AW-149.

Sivrisinek: Armed VTOL UAV.

Simsek: Jet powered high speed target drone.

Karayel: Tactical UAV developed by Vestel, contract signed.

Caldiran: Tactical UAV developed by Baykar.

Mini UAV: Hand launched mini uav. Developed by Baykar. In service

ASELPOD: Targeting & nav pod for F-16 and F-4E 2020s. Prototype completed, flight tests to commence 2011.

MILDAR: MMW radar to equip T-129 Atak helicopter. Development underway by Meteksan...

AESA: Active Electronically Scanned Array radar for TFX aircraft project and current Turkish aircraft fleet modernizations. Development underway by Aselsan/Meteksan.

SAR radar: Turkish Synthetic Aperture Radar for UAV's, Satellites and other aerial platforms. It is in trial phase...

HGK: Hassas Gudum Kiti; JDAM equivalent. In production.

KGK: Kanat Gudum Kiti; wing kit for Mk82, Mk83 and Mk20. Tests underway..

MDM: Menzil Disi Muhimmat; 150km stand-off precision guided weapon system. Tests underway.

Cirit: 2.75" laser guided rocket to be used from T-129 and UAVs (also possibly from AH-1W's). Development complete, LRIP to commence shortly.

UMTAS: Long range IIR/RF data link guided missile. To be used from T-129 and UAV's. Development underway.

Demet: Indigenous cluster weapon. In production (?)

NEB: Nufuz Edici Bomba; bunker buster / penetrator bomb. Development underway.

Atmaca: Indigenous antiship missile. Development underway with air launched variant on board.

SRAAM: IIR guided AAM derived from ground launched version. Development underway by ROKETSAN.

T-LAIADMIS: IIR guided ground based SAM system. Development underway by Roketsan.
