What's new

China's work force is set to decline 30% by 2050

More than the total number that foreigners come to Japan...The report of 法务省(厚生省/劳动省?)
The name of Japanese gov always remind me of the scaring thing----We have to memorize the ancient China's government departments names..WTF
(like中书省 门下省 尚书省 大理寺 鸿胪寺 宗人府 内务府 詹事府)

There is also a considerable number of Japanese-Peruvians; nearly 200,000 of them. We have nearly 1.5 million Japanese in America, nearly 200,000 in the Philippines, nearly 200,000 in China, nearly 110,000 in Canada etc etc.

Basically Japan can easily solve our population crisis if we can encourage our overseas population to come back to Japan.

Ummm...Will u come back from USA..?
Indeed,I think Japan has too much people(Be relative to its land, look at Canada,America)..
Reducing is better.

Of course. I work in the USA as a permanent resident, not as a citizen. I will never relinquish my Japanese Nationality.

However, the laws are very open here, which means even tho I am a Japanese Citizen, because I am a permanent US Resident , I can own property here, have all the rights as any US citizen (well, i just can't vote, lol).

I make my money in America. But i have all my assets in Japan. Naturally.

Don't get trapped in those meaningless demographic crisis nonsense posted by our beloved sinologist who cannot speak Chinese.

His argument has some absurd foundation, like every people will achieve the same level neglecting the difference of each nationality, government of East Asia has no awareness of the declining labour force, future industry need the same number of workers, etc.

As far as I know, if the ongoing technological revolution is happening smoothly and successfully, there will be more and more unskilled workers jobless(already happening). That's why China must put upgrades of our service sector into priority.

I know that.No need to change nationality.
But it's where u live count,not nationality..

I agree that it is moot to focus energy on population demise , however, just to entertain conjecture on solvency of the population issue --- Japan can easily solve our population issue by encouraging Japanese overseas to come back to Japan. We can easily maintain our population over 130 million by importing Nikkeijin abroad.

No need to import foreign immigrants in large numbers when we can easily import 2-3 million Japanese Nikkeijin back to the country.

I know that.No need to change nationality.

Tho i live in the United States, my allegiance is to Japan first and foremost. I am not an American, I am Pure Blooded Japanese.

U can have our 200 million Chinese if u will.
China doesn't need 1.3-1.5 billion, 0.8-1 billion is enough.
We also have enough overseas Chinese.

200 million is too much. Japan would become Chinese. That would defeat the purpose.

150,000 to 200,000 is acceptable.

...too less, oversea Chinese are around 40,000,000.
Japan should take at least 3,000,0008-)
We should send two hundred million aborad,or our country has too many people!

.
That's too small.
U should at least accept 10-50 million.

LOL, 10 to 50 million? I love Chinese, but that number is too much, i think. It has to be gradual, my friend, its like courting a girl's kiss --- we can't just seize a kiss when we meet a woman. You have to do it gradual, soft words, eye contact, soft touch, and date(s).

10 million is too much, 50 million ? That's Korea's population, lol. Maximum maybe 1 million.

Japan should take at least 3,000,0008-)

As i said, 3 million is just too much. If perhaps you mean 3 million over a 15 year period, then yes. Sure. They will be Japanified in that time. :)

.
OKay~~That's fine.
Do ur clan have a genealogy ?

Search Southeast Asian countries, they take millions of Chinese.
Ummm.Along with the traditional thinkings come back again, new generation maybe hard to assimilate.
LIke my friends in Fujian(Junior school student),wear Hanfu漢服,learn 漢礼.
※And most Immigrants are from Fujian. Some provinces nearly dont immigrate.

Most Chinese that are in SEA actually keep their identity. For example I have some Chinese-Filipino friends who are Teowchew origin, they speak their native dialect, as well as speak Filipino. I have also friends who are Chinese-Malaysians and are still fluent in Hokkien (Hakka) , they still keep their Chinese names, and they prefer to marry Chinese as well. So you see even after generations, they still keep their 中华民族 identity. In fact most of the 'Chinese' that i know here in the US who are very proud of their Chinese background are usually SEA Chinese.

The same is similar in regards to Nikkeijin. Japanese people abroad usually maintain their Japanese identity, culture, and racial identity. Japanese abroad also tend to marry only within Japanese. Its very unique, i suppose.
