During 2007, Australia's procurement of F-18 Super Hornets costed nearly $3 billion. And that's for the aircraft alone!

Pakistan spend $3.1 billion for 18 F-16s, including spares and weapons!

Imagine that!

Just do the math 30 million each, and how many you can buy for 1 billion outright without the operating cost.
