CAG picks holes in LCA project, says it fails to meet IAF

What options you have? India has to have an indigenous fighter platform. Moreover, LCA is a capital expenditure projects, meaning the expenditure will be spread across years. So money is not the problem. LCA has to be sorted out.

LCA is a mig-21 replacement and unless the IAF is keen on having a mig-21 or its clones flying in the sky then there is no logic behind investing in the Tejas.

And F 16 are vintage planes. They don't possess much of a threat to India.

LOL!!

LOL!!

There is every logic in continuing with Tejas...even if it fails, the knowledge gained will be used in AMCA.

Arre bhai, talk sense for God's sake. AMCA is supposed to be a 5th gen aircraft, at least that is what has been claimed on paper, how does working on a 3rd gen aircraft help you in building a 5th gen? It is like saying working on building a propeller plane will help you in building a jet.

Tejas is history. Stop making tejas an ego issue. In fact tejas can even be called a success because it was up and flying, albeit 30 years too late. Now that confidence and experience should be used in AMCA rather than trying to polish the short comings of an antique like LCA and forcibly inducting it in IAF.

It will be decades not years before India masters the science、the technology and the art of making its own fighter planes。

This is plain to all but the Indians。

Indians drool over IITs and whatnot .. but reality is those from IIT need a guidance from a white man to excel. Leave it to themselves, they are as good as LCA

Calm down...first of all Tejas is not a 3rd Gen fighter. It is a 4 ++ gen fighter. Second it is not failure. there may be shortcoming that could be overcome with the help of foreign defense companies.

And again 5 gen fighter are not something out of blue, but are basically 4 gen fighters with stealth.

Another Pakistani ?

Take India 10 yrs to finally agree to buy 36 jets from France, obviously took India 3x the yrs to build LCA that a given. Nothing less can be expected.

And you expect people to take you seriously?

I love your sense of humour. Maybe that's why a country like USA which has made some of the best ever fighters in human history is facing difficulties in building a 5th gen fighter even though they have been using stealth bombers for years now.

It is hard to talk to people who doesn't understand defense technology. You could have done a bit of research on fouth gen and fifth gen.
