We all know police is more prone to pulling over ethnic minorities and in particular Pakistanis [post 911] but here we have claims the police were afraid to investigate because of 'racism'. Wtf? My brother is a police officer and by his admission Pakistani's are more prone to police attention.

But because some Pakistan's have been getting their 'wicks wet' the latent prejudice in society has kicked in and suddenly the searchlight is switched on revealing the sordid thing. The police/social services cannot say "hey this shit happens and these girls are bad to the bone anyway" have to find excuses for their inaction. Result they decide to double 'dump' it on Pakistani's by citing "oh we be scared".

However we must condemn this sort of behaviour from any segment of society. This sort of thing is plain wrong. But to dump this on ethnic group is entirely wrong. On the postive this "Pakistani baiting" has done wonders in covering up the scandal of celebrity sexual abuse of young girls. but this is way of the world. The rich and powerful walk away but poor get crapped on.

life is not fair. if you are complaining about life not being fair get used to it.

tell us what would happen if Pakistanis did it in Turkey or Saudi Arabia. Or if a Muslim did it to a Hindu in India.

One action does not make or break your image in foreign society. It is about the moral responsibility you feel towards your hosts and for your countrymen. I am appalled at the lack of concern over the potential consequences. In World War 2 if Indian soldier in Royal Army tried to have sex voluntarily with a white woman you would face a firing squad.

It is not about the Brits or Australian citizens. If countries like Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines cared about their citizens they would ban this business. Thailand is quite brutal against narcotics.

FYI USA has laws to prosecute any US resident who has sex with minors abroad. If they have the evidence they will hammer you. Expect no sympathy from any American prosecutor.

There is a difference between crimes in your own country and doing it on foreign soil. Considering the fact a lot of Indians and Pakistanis would like to emigrate to some of these foreign societies I would say it would help if people behaved better.

I disagree. Vulnerable girls on the margins of society have always been used my men - that abuse has a wide spectrum. From the one end where some guy will cultivate a relationship which uses the vulnerability to his advantage to get sex all the while this relationship is masked as 'relationship'. To use the slang "banging slags". On the other extreme is the girls get addicted to hard drugs and prostitution with a pimp. How long has this been going on for. Read some social history from the Victorian era to see the scale of this abuse.

The real issue and cause is families. Failed families. How do these girls end up in such "vulnerable" circumstances? They tend to be way mature beyond their years and lost their innocence at very early age. The failure is the parents. As long as people have kids as result of no relationships or nominal relationships or broken familes with mothers who themselves are either addicts or less then good mothers these things will happen. And it has been happening in every inner city or council estate in UK.

The critical differance and that has caused the present uproar is not the abuse. But the fact that the abusers are Pakistani's. Most of them are hopeless creatures and suffering from repressed sexuality and jump on such situations leading to entire clan joining in a circle fest. The fact is most of these girls would not go on to become nuns had they not run into the low life Pakistanis. They would still been 'at it' but within their own communties.
