Breaking India: Western Interventions in Dravidian and Dalit Faultlines

*cough BS*

I erroneously assumed the Hebrew Bible to be the Old Testament.

From the Book of Esther however...
Now it came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus, (this is Ahasuerus which reigned, from India even unto Ethiopia, over an hundred and seven and twenty provinces) - Esther 1:1

They wrote out all Mordecai's orders to the Jews, and to the satraps, governors and nobles of the 127 provinces stretching from India to Cush. -- Esther 8:9

US ??? You will be eaten alive for such a rude remark.

Churchill had such a condescending attitude only towards Indian Dravidians not towards Aryan-Caucasian-Arab-Persian-Turkic people on our western borders.

From the synopsis the book seems to have been written by an Indian version of Glen Beck.

The Doom and Gloom and how the entire world is out to "get" India with a side-dose of minority paranoia to keep it interesting.

No need to take such a defensive posture Ejaz.

Though not on the extreme suggested by the book, the truth is somewhere close to it.

Nothing defensive about what I said, I was giving an honest view from the synopsis.

As you yourself have said, the book is extreme in what it suggests.

And we have bigger problems that conversions that can "break India".

Between 1991 and 2001 census Christian population increased from 2.32%to 2.34% in India (correct me if I'm wrong). So forgive me if I think that conversions to Christianity are statistically insignificant to be a concern.

I haven't read the book, but as I mentioned this is from reading the synopsis.

Assam was part of Mughal empire till 1682 AD, the last governor of Assam was Mir Jumla (under the ruler Aurangzeb), after successful invasion by Raja Ram Singh, Mughals were expelled and lost Assam.

But, Mir Jumla conquered only the soil of Ahom capital and neither the king nor the country.

The Mughals tried to conquer Assam but failed to do so.
