Those are exactly the same words the average Turk said in the 80's or 90's when it was found out that Assad was supporting pkk against us. Karma is a b....

200k were killed by Assad himself. We will make sure that he pays the full bill.

Cheap attempt. Read my posts from the very beginning in this thread. It's not about criticizing governments (that I personally do not care about and most other Arabs and probably also Turks) it's the hypocrisy that is disgusting. The West is as much part of all this as we are so how about keeping quite just this time around?!
I'm saying the West is NOT involved. I'm saying we are MUCH LESS involved. This is quite clearly the case when one compares Britain, which has sent NO arms with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey, who have each sent billions worth of arms. Personally I am appalled that my taxes are going to provide money to a group of rebels who have burned churches in the village of Malloula, one of the last villages in the world where they still speak Aramaic, the language of Christ himself.

Syrian people were killed thanks to the west and their puppets supporting terrorism in Syria... tell me Syrians were getting killed by Alasad before the so called "democracy" or the western terrorism started in Syria...

Barrel-bombing is Assad's invention.

Lately he started using mine-clearing devices to bomb entire cities. Mass-murderer.

Our government would have liked to get more involved but public opinion stopped them. Same in US and France. The war in Syria is not seen here as good vs bad but as a nasty conflict with atrocities on both sides. Whereas many Sunni Muslims genuinely do strongly dislike Assad plus you have him right next door while to us he is a long way away. It is inevitable that we will not have the same commitment.
Of course the west wont commit, after all Turkey is at your service, sir. except not really... hence the western (negative media) pressure on Turkey and Arab countries to do more. I hope Turkish and other Arab countries stay away from this isis virus. The west (especially the US) is just running away from its responsibility to help Iraq. This will leave a long term negative impression on its supposed allies in the ME while US credibility was already quite low in the region

I lol so hard while reading these articles.

-First they said join the coaliton
-Later, they said "assault ISIS with your ground forces"
-In turned into, "At least hit them with artillery from your country".
-Now they say "Turkey, at least give permission to a corridor which will supply YPG in Kobani".

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

You are not dealing with the 90s Turkey. You are dealing with a regional power. So it will be either our way or the high way.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Regarding rising tensions with Kurds....

Today our police chief said to their faces, "We will teach you that Turkey is undefeatable. " And they were listening to him like children being scolded. :)

Surely it is better in the long term if the countries of the region take the lead in fighting ISIS rather than the US, given that they won't be able to police the Middle East for that much longer. As for Britain, we have an army of only 125 thousand so it's not very likely we'll be of great use.

What business with a dead guy are you talking about? That one man burned the inside of all of us. What did our innocent people do to that one man? That one man died, case closed? So simple? Unfortunately the pain and terror memories of millions of Turks didnt die with him. Tooth for tooth, eye for eye. If not fsa, revenge should have been taken in one way or another. And dont start about the victims amount, if Turkey didnt stand strong against pkk during the times of Syria supporting them, Turkey probably could have been laying in ruins with a way bigger number of casualties too.

But what is "your way"? You haven't outlined any strategy. It doesn't look like you see it as much of a threat in comparison to how seriously you oppose Assad who is no threat to anybody outside his borders.

THE ONLY SOLUTION TO THIS MADNESS:

Renowned scholars should stand against what ISIS is doing. They should condemn monarchies as they have no place in real Islam.

Garner wide public support in Muslim countries.

Make sure no Arab kink is backing ISIS.

Finally - MAKE A DEADLY SQUAD of 1000 special forces comprised of various nationalities (Muslim countries). Mandate them to KILL FUKTARD JIHADI Mullahs. Because they are being supported by MOSSAD/CIA/MI6 etc.

Remember - No one wants to loose monopoly. European elite is fuking you up as they fuked Africa. This is Amrikan jihad. Nothing to do with real Islamic Jihad.

Education is the only thing that will help you defend yourself.

Syrian people are gone for the next 30 years. Same as Afghanistan. Same as Libya. Same as Jordan. Same as Egypt.

Now remember - 30 years later Israel/Europe/Russia/America/Australia/Japan/China and other that are pumped by the babe will be on Mars.

Muslim countries to save their ego - Will pay a billion $$$ for the trip and news outlets will takeover the world as if something really useful was invented.

A kid born in Syria today won't likely survive. Those that do will be illiterate and living in fantasy land of 70 virgins 30 years from now. Some will be babes of the west. Some honest people won't make it to the stage.

But what is "your way"? You haven't outlined any strategy. It doesn't appear that you are even particularly concerned even though they could easily set off bombs in your towns and cities just the same as everybody else's. Is annoying the US more important in your view?
In that case Turkey can invoke article 5 of Nato, right? Rasmussen or the new guy said Nato is with Turkey. So if it will come to that point, a portion of those 125k British boys will probably fly over and protect Turkey. That's nato for us.

Annoying the US? is taking care of your own interest first 'annoying the us'? What a great understanding ally then.

Mate, seems like you are not familiar with this issue. So, i gonna tell you Turkey's approach.

What our government was saying.... actually after the return of 40 Turkish hostages whom held by ISIS.;

Warring against ISIS will not solve anything in the long term. We should also look into to the reasons why ISIS became to creation.

Assad's brutal regime paved way to extremism, so even if we manage to remove ISIS from the region. There is no guarentee that some other extremist group wont replace them. So brutal regime has to change.

Also, air strikes won't eradicate ISIS, so a ground operation is a must. But you can't expect Turkey alone to take on ISIS.

So, Turkey's suggestion is listed as below;

- Removal of Assad regime.
- Support for FSA.
- No-Fly zone over syria.
- Creation of a buffer zone along Turkey's border with UN or coalition forces.
- Assaulting ISIS not only with airforce but also with ground forces.

Mate, until these conditions are met Turkey won't lift a finger. Western Media can even write "Turkish military is conducting operations with ISIS". We simply don't care. You need to understand that you can't blackmail Turkey on this issue.
