Explosion in Kohat kills seven on Sunday

PESHAWAR: Kohat has become the target of militants once again as it is hit by a car bomb attack killing at least seven people including five policemen and two civilians while injuring 25 others.

The attack took place on the main Rawalpindi road in Kohat. The explosion appears to have targeted the Bilitang police station. The blast has destroyed the police station and a nearby private school was partially damaged.

A 250KG explosive was detonated in a double cabin pickup.

This is the second time in two days that Kohat has faced an attack by militants. On Saturday 41 people were killed and over 60 injured in twin suicide blasts at a food distribution point in Kacha Pakha area on Kohat-Hangu highway. - DawnNews.

Rest In Peace t those that have died, may Allah be with those injured.

We will rid this menace (TTP) from Pakistan.

You know what I find sad.. And I am saying this with utmost sincerity and no sarcasm..

A bomb blast that kills seven people gets 5 reponses and the thread about weather being hot this year close to 30 in a single day..

Are we getting insensitive or used to this non essential bloodshed??

. . . . .
A suicide bomber rammed a truck loaded with explosives into a police station in northwestern PakistaSunday, killing a child and six other civilians.
At least 26 people including six police were also wounded in the attack. It's the second this weekend in the Kohat area.
A local police officer said the truck was loaded with up to 250 kilograms of explosives. The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
Qari Hussain, a top Pakistani Taliban commander said the suicide blast was revenge for a recent army strike on a militant-run hospital in the South Waziristan tribal area.
Hussain and other Taliban commanders are believed to be hiding in North Waziristan to avoid the army onslaught in the South.
