Right now, the most advanced AAW destroyers are Indian, French, Italian and British, primarily because of Barak and Aster.

All other navies, including PLAN and USN, use outdated missile designs that are very big and heavy. There is a generation difference between the outdated missiles and Barak/Aster in terms of design.

Then why Indian armed forces signed a deal for S-400 and using S-300 they are also very big and heavy @randomradio and as for your information SM-6. SM-3 is long range SAMs, long range then S-300, S-400, SM-6 have range of more than 600 km whereas S-4 have a range of more than 300 km @randomradio

Yes and no. But you got the gist of it.

The PN indeed doesn't stand a chance. PLAN and IN won't fight much due to geography and other limited capabilities.

And the USN is yet to get new generation ships and new generation missiles. They are still stuck with old gear which they are modernising the best they can. Like how they are still stuck with Super Hornets and the Aim-120.

PLAN's modernisation is better than USN's right now. But IN was able to secure new technologies because they had to start from scratch, unlike PLAN and USN.

Outdated doesn't mean obsolete. Just old. Everybody's tech will work as advertised. It's just that the PN is completely out of its league.

Hence, yes and no.

Both Indian and Chinese has a similar Tech in the term of radar and missile, Chinese working alone while you working with west to improve your tech, they vast far far more advance military industrial Complex than India has, their radars and missiles are more compare to USN than india, india is no where near than China in the term of tech development @randomradio

The problem is China is working alone. They haven't reached Western standards yet.

India does have advanced radars and missiles. That's how we developed the BMD.

The system is based on the latest GaN TR Module technology and incorporates the latest signal processing techniques.

So we already have GaN tech, which came from Saab. So the stuff that's going on our ships is extremely advanced. The Americans are still using PESA radars.

IAF recently said they will no longer import radars. So we already have all the world class stuff.

We already have GaN. If you read the link, it's talking about marketing GaN radars.
