Bangladesh receives delivery of first regiment of Turkish TRG-300 MLRS

thank you, this is what i wanted to see. all of those Bangladeshis thumping their chests that they can target India, are just that, chest thumpers. nothing more.

BD buys weapons for self-defence and this will put India on notice that they will suffer painful blows if they dare attack BD.

They are not for use in pre-emptive attacks on India at all.

so.... from where did this threat assessment come? you are claiming that you are building grids and whatnot with India, and yet you claim that they will launch an attack on you. weird.

Considering BD land area is small and GDP is growing, they can really saturate their defenses with high tech capabilities. Once completed, they can slowly start adding long range jet fighters. Just because it’s small, doesn’t mean it’s totally unable to challenge India.

. .
A truly offensive system that can wipe out a lot of Indian military bases near BD and also destroy Calcutta port within minutes.
They may even order a longer range system with 300km range but 120km at this time is very good for BD as it puts a lot of the Indian economic and military targets well within range.
Please do not say such thing this bluntly here. We should maintain a friendly atmosphere here with all the nationalities including the Indians. India as a country is not an enemy of Bangladesh, only the fascist hindutva force within India is our enemy. There are plenty of Indians who are well wisher of Bangladesh. We have to keep in mind about them. Our defence procurement is not any country specific, there is no guarranty that India and Bangladesh will go to war in the future and these weapons will be put use against them. So it is better to use the neutral term like ''enemy'' instead of India.

Yeah I agree , we buy weapons to keep people in check but not to power project lol.

The threat assessment comes from any nation's need to be prepared for any eventualities, regardless of the fact the neighbor is a friend. So our defense acquisitions are purely for defensive purposes should there be such an eventuality. It's not for allying with anybody to teach somebody a lesson when we have zero interest in doing so. Why would BD make India an enemy when there is no enmity in terms of military threats? I understand they are your arch nemesis but that's between you and them, we have nothing to do with it.

if you have money then no problem

280km Turkish KHAN Tactical Ballistic Missile to hit targets with point accurasy

Some of our army officials have already inspected the KHAN Missile system a few years back... Its either going to be the KHAN or a Chinese system..

I would expect them to make a final decision on this after the acquisition of the other two regiments of Kasirga is completed.

Don't forget Bangladesh Navy is interested in Atmaca too, in fact our Navy Chief is in Turkey right now..

Thank you for the explanation as I really could not be bothered answering the obvious.

Even Modi is calming down a bit now from his threat to deport Indian Muslims into BD by labelling them "illegal BD'shis" and so BD has everything to gain from a good relationship with India and a lot to lose by a hostile one.

Pakistan and India enmity is between them and while BD nation supports the Kashmir cause we are certainly not going to become openly hostile to India because of it, as the interests of 165 million BD'shis come before that of some 8-10 million Muslim Kashmiris that are not and will never become BD citizens.

Kashmir and Palestine are not above Bangladesh's national interests, we didn't fight for freedom to get sidetracked.

The reality is often harsh and not ideal but it is what it is..

We've got our hands full with Rohingya Issue.

Look at it this way, an economically and militarily strong BD can do a lot more for the Kashmiris and Palestinians in the future than a poor one can do now. In fact BD right now can do zero to assist the Kashmiris and Palestinians by enmity with India and shouting against Israel/Jews etc.

Correction : We don't have enemity with jews... We despise the state of Israel for its wretched and violence enforced existence.

Hating Jews is of little benefit to us.. even hate is better directed at targets at hand... Starting with the monkeys..

Ever since the coup the pdf genocide pandering monkey squad have gone real silent.. I like it, hope that country burns to the ground.

Yes of course Jews and Israel are not the same.

In fact there are a lot of decent Israelis and it is just that a charlatan like Netanyahu has cleverly manipulated a large chunk of his population to hate and fear Palestinians/Arabs/Muslims for his own career benefits.

They've had five elections in the past year, each time either Netanyahu or Gantz failed to hold the majority... Finally Yahu got bailed out by the ultra orthodox radicals (his usual cohorts) and in order to boost his ratings and divert attention away from him and his broken government, He engineered that recent flare up in the region.
