Bangladesh induct chinese aidefence system for air force

do any one get any information how many of this system we induct ?

Chacha, its only for defence purposes. Unless a foreign force attacks us, it probably wont be used

@ All countries procure military equipments for defensive purpose during the peace time. It hardly matters whether a war broke out or not ?

^^ Some say its 4.

Usually BD purchases a few units in the beginning, then the system goes through scrutiny and tests. Only then there are big purchases with probable modifications as per BD recommendations. Do you remember BA bought only 7 units of MBT-2000 in the beginning of this year. Only after a proper trial it has ordered one full regiment (44 units) of this MBTs. Note that BA has now about 850 tanks, small and big.

So, if it is only 4 units of air defence system today, it may become 400 units tomorrow.

In fact, we are operating more than 1200 BTR-80. Only recently we bought also 100 units of BTR-82A from Russia. However, many of these amphibious APCs are being used in UN jobs. Bangladesh has also about 800 battle tanks, but, not all are MBTs. Our weak point is air force. But, with the addition of FM-90s, our air defence is now a little stronger.

We are getting stronger every day since after President Gen. Zia initiated a China link to our defense. He was killed, but, all the govts are following his footsteps and BD is becoming stronger in defense. No big brother will bully us any more after 2020.
Eastwatch , why to wait 2020 , learn lesson from Afganistan & Srilanka , Tamils teach them a good lesson , If they dare to do anything to Bangladesh , kill several thousands of its troops & you will see they are looking a way to flee . Why you want to wait for so long to defend your Country .
