As for social equality, the Gini indexes are quite comparable for India and Bangladesh.

So with i/3 of Indian income per capita, every segment of BD population earns much less. That's why the pole vaulting.

Just would like to refer you to post number 139 which is clearly indicating where the 3 country of south Asia are heading too. Bangladesh is now ahead of both India and Pakistan in terms of social indicator. You can go and see the sub category of HDI where Bangladh is far ahead then India except GDP and education. In terms of education young generation has already reached the level of India and in many cases moved ahead. After rebasing there won't be any difference between Bangladesh and India's HDI. Now the difference is only .04 .... .5 for Bangladesh and .54 for India. The way Bangladesh moved ahead in the last 2 decade within a decade it will be much ahead of India in a decade.

All the stats are there. Dnt humiliate yourself much. We know it well how much poverty, hunger and malnourished children is there in India... Where they have no access to the benefit of the recent development of India.

1. The comparative table of HDI in the 3 main South Asian countries was from the economist, a well-respected and authoritative source.

2. Bangladesh has fundamentally less poverty and social injustice than India or Pakistan both of whom have feudal landlords, which Bangladesh does not.

East Pakistan/Bengalis abolished the feudal system in the 1950s, one reason why some feel the feudal-military elite of west Pakistan did not want a Mujib-led government in 1971 as they wanted to retain feudalism.

In India "untouchables" can be killed for drinking from the wrong place. In Pakistan Balochi women were stripped naked and forced to walk around a village by Punjabis due to some caste conflict, or the blood feuds so prevalent in Pathan and Balochi cultures. In Bangladesh we have none of this jahiliyaa (Arabic for ignorance/backwardness/barbarism).

3. Sri Lanka may become the first South Asian country to become first world or truly middle-income.

4. In the future we Bangladeshis will not be comparing ourselves to our poor and backwards western neighbours but to our easter neighbours in ASEAN, as we will surpass our western neighbours and their HDI and other factors.

Just because some of these people (seems most of them actually) have done reverse hizarat to kaffir countries, doesn't mean that those countries are not having the heritage of Judo-Christian values.

Anytime they is a challenge to those values, the pushback is enormous. You see that happening in so many European countries already.

The days of taking over countries are gone.
