সম্প্রতি গয়েবলসীয় কায়দায় বাংলাদেশ সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে জাতিসংঘ মহাসচিবকে জড়িয়ে এক মিথ্যা মিডিয়া প্রচারনা দেয়া হয়। এতে বলা হয় মহাসচিব বান কি মুন অর্ধ-বৈধ প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনাকে ফোন করে সেনাবাহিনীর নয়া কন্টিনজেন্ট চেয়েছেন। কিন্তু কূটনৈতিক সুত্রে জানা গেছে এ ধরনের কোন চাওয়াতো দুরের কথা বান কি মুন ফোনই করেন নাই। শেখ হাসিনাই তাকে ফোন করেছিলেন এবং জাতিসংঘে সুদানের জন্য আরও কিছু সেনা সদস্য নেয়ারও অনুরোধ করেন। জবাবে কূটনৈতিক ভাষায় তাকে বান কি মুন জবাব দেন। উল্লেখ্য রাজেন্দ্রপুরে অলরেডি দুটো সেনা কন্টিনজেন্ট মিশনে যাওয়ার জন্য অনেকদিন ধরেই বসে আছে। দেশের এই অবস্থার জন্য জাতিসংঘ থেকে তাদের গ্রহন ঝুলিয়ে দিয়েছে। অথচ সেনাবাহিনীকে সত্য না জানিয়ে শেখ হাসিনা ও তার সরকার সেনাবাহিনীকে ব্লাফ দেয়ার নাটক করেই চলেছে।

এদিকে নির্বাচনী প্রক্রিয়ার খেলাধুলা শেষ করে সরকারের শপথ নেবার পর পরই শেখ হাসিনা সেনাপ্রধানকে সরিয়ে দেবেন। ‘র’ এর পরিকল্পনা মোতাবেক এ সংক্রান্ত ফাইল শেখ হাসিনার বেয়াই অবৈধ নিরাপত্তা উপদেষ্টা মে. জেনারেল (অব) তারেক সিদ্দিকী প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছেন। এই রিপোর্টকে মিথ্যা প্রমান করতে না চাইলে সেনাপ্রধান জেনারেল ইকবাল করিম ভুঁইয়াকে ফ্রান্সের রাষ্ট্রদূত করার সিদ্ধান্ত চূড়ান্ত।

ভারতের অতি প্রিয়ভাজন সিজিএস লেফটেন্যান্ট জেনারেল মাইনুলকে অথবা লেফটেন্যান্ট জেনারেল বেলালকে সেনাপ্রধান করা হবে। যদিও এই দৌড়ে আরও অনেকেই রয়েছেন, এবং আরও ২/৩ জন ভারতের অতি বিশ্বস্ত জেনারেলও রয়েছেন। তবে তাদের শিকে ছিড়বে বলে মনে হয় না।

এই মুহূর্তে সরকারের বিশ্বস্ত ডিজিএফআই এর মহাপরিচালক মেজর জেনারেল আকবরের বাড়ী ফেনী হওয়ার কারনে রিটায়ার্ড করিয়ে দেয়া হবে। যে কোন কারনেই হোক ‘র’ মেজর জেনারেল আকবরকে বেশিদুর বিশ্বাস করতে পারছে না। কোন জিলার বাসিন্দা সেটাও এখন চাকুরীর শর্তের আওতায় পরে। ডিজিএফআই এর প্রধান হিসেবে ‘র’ এর এই মুহূর্তে এক নম্বর পছন্দ বিজিবি’র মহাপরিচালক শীর্ষ সন্ত্রাসীদের ভাই মেজর জেনারেল আজিজ। ইতিমধ্যেই আজিজ নিরস্ত্র ভারত বিরোধী নাগরিক হত্যায় পারদর্শিতা দেখিয়ে ভারত ও শেখ হাসিনার প্রতি তার আনুগত্য প্রমান করেছেন। তাই মেজর জেনারেল আজিজের ডিজিএফআই এর মহাপরিচালক হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা উজ্জ্বল বলেই জানা গেছে।

তবে শেখ হাসিনার জন্য স্পেশাল এসাইনমেন্ট করা সাভা্রের রেশমা নাটকের পরিচালক সাভার এরিয়া কমান্ডার মেজর জেনারেল সোহরাওয়ার্দীকে কোন দোষে অবসর দেয়া হবে তা জানা না গেলেও এটা বোঝা গেছে যে সাবেক সেনাপ্রধান জেনারেল মুস্তাফিজের মেয়ের জামাই বর্তমান সেনাসদরের সেক্রেটারি মেজর জেনারেল ওয়াকার (বিএ-২৯০২) কেই যে সাভারের নবম ডিভিশনের দায়িত্ব দেয়া হবে এটা প্রায় নিশ্চিত।

এই অদলবদলের মধ্যে আরও কিছু ব্রিগেডিয়ার ও মেজর জেনারেলের অবসর ও পদোন্নতি হবে শূন্যস্থানগুলো পূর্ণ করার লক্ষ্যে। তবে তথ্য ফাঁস হয়ে যাওয়ায় সরকার ও ‘র’ ভিন্ন কোন পন্থাও অবলম্বন করার সম্ভাবনা উড়িয়ে দেয়া যায় না। তবে এরুপ কিছু ঘটলে বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনী চীনের প্রতিপক্ষ ভারতীয় বাহিনীর এক্সটেনশন হওয়ার পথে আরও এক ধাপ এগিয়ে যাবে।

4. These are indeed reasons for concern. But then what happened to JRB?When there is a mass upsurge patriots will prevail.Do you remember the discovery of Reshma after days in the rubble of the Savar garment factory? The troops at site had broken out in an spontaneous cry of "Nara e Taqbir/Allh o Akbar". No,we shall prevail at the end. The Bengalee Mussalman will not bow.

A civil war now presents a much much bigger challenge than the one in 1971, because of the geography and resulting logistics difficulty. What do you think about this idea:

Good point, we Bangladeshi's are an emotional lot, most of us never realized that India presents a much bigger eternal threat (surrounding us from 3 sides) than Pakistan could ever be (1200 miles away), even if we stayed together. The other thing was India with their agents in Awami League orchestrated and engineered the 1971 conflict, while West Pakistan military leaders fell right into the trap created for them, credit to devious Indian plans. The goal was to create a conflict where both then East and West Pakistan people would kill each other and destroy any trust that was left, and they were successful.

সহসাই সেনাপ্রধান ইকবাল করিম ভূঁইয়াকে সরিয়ে দিয়ে নতুন সেনাপ্রধান হিসেবে লে জেনারেল মইনুলকে নিয়োগ দেয়া এবং বাংলাদেশের প্রতি অনুগত দেশপ্রেমিক সেনা জেনারেল, ব্রিগেডিয়ার ও কর্নেল পদমর্যাদার বেশ কিছু কর্মকর্তাকে সরিয়ে দিতে একটি তালিকা নিয়েও বৈঠকে আলোচনা হয় বলে সুত্র জানিয়েছে। এছাড়াও সেনাপ্রধান হলে মইনুল ভারতের পরামর্শ মোতাবেক বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনীর ফরমেশনে ও লজিস্টিক বিষয়াদিতে পরিবর্তন আনবেন বলে শিব শংকরকে আশ্বস্ত করেছেন।

সামরিক সরঞ্জামাদি ও যুদ্ধাস্ত্র ক্রয়ে ভবিষ্যতে চীন ও যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের পরিবর্তে ভারতের পরামর্শ মেনে রাশিয়া থেকে ক্রয়ের বিষয়টিও আলোচনায় স্থান পায়। কারণ সহায়ক বাহিনী হিসেবে একই যুদ্ধাস্ত্র না হলে ভবিষ্যতে চীন বা মায়ানমারের সাথে কোন সামরিক সংঘাত হলে সাপ্লাই পেতে বা দিতে সমস্যা হতে পারে মাথায় রেখেই এ কাজটি ভারত করতে চাচ্ছে। ইতিমধ্যে বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনীতে ভারতীয় বাহিনীর কিছু অফিসারকে বাংলাদেশী সাজিয়ে নিযুক্ত করতে ভারত সক্ষম হয়েছে বলে অন্য একটি সুত্র জানিয়েছে। এই সকল ভারতীয় অফিসারদের দ্বারাই পদোন্নতি ও বদলির বিষয়ে তালিকা বানানো হয়, যা বাংলাদেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রী বাস্তবায়ন করেন।
Since India would like Bangladesh Armed Forces to become an assisting force for Indian Armed forces, India is advising Bangladesh to source their military hardware from Russia, rather than from China and the West, so that in any future war between India-China or India-Myanmar, supply and logistics is not a problem. Some Indians have been recruited as officers in Bangladesh Army, who prepare promotion and transfer list, which is then implemented by the Prime Ministers Office.

সহসাই সেনাপ্রধান ইকবাল করিম ভূঁইয়াকে সরিয়ে দিয়ে নতুন সেনাপ্রধান হিসেবে লে জেনারেল মইনুলকে নিয়োগ দেয়া এবং বাংলাদেশের প্রতি অনুগত দেশপ্রেমিক সেনা জেনারেল, ব্রিগেডিয়ার ও কর্নেল পদমর্যাদার বেশ কিছু কর্মকর্তাকে সরিয়ে দিতে একটি তালিকা নিয়েও বৈঠকে আলোচনা হয় বলে সুত্র জানিয়েছে। এছাড়াও সেনাপ্রধান হলে মইনুল ভারতের পরামর্শ মোতাবেক বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনীর ফরমেশনে ও লজিস্টিক বিষয়াদিতে পরিবর্তন আনবেন বলে শিব শংকরকে আশ্বস্ত করেছেন।

সামরিক সরঞ্জামাদি ও যুদ্ধাস্ত্র ক্রয়ে ভবিষ্যতে চীন ও যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের পরিবর্তে ভারতের পরামর্শ মেনে রাশিয়া থেকে ক্রয়ের বিষয়টিও আলোচনায় স্থান পায়। কারণ সহায়ক বাহিনী হিসেবে একই যুদ্ধাস্ত্র না হলে ভবিষ্যতে চীন বা মায়ানমারের সাথে কোন সামরিক সংঘাত হলে সাপ্লাই পেতে বা দিতে সমস্যা হতে পারে মাথায় রেখেই এ কাজটি ভারত করতে চাচ্ছে। ইতিমধ্যে বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনীতে ভারতীয় বাহিনীর কিছু অফিসারকে বাংলাদেশী সাজিয়ে নিযুক্ত করতে ভারত সক্ষম হয়েছে বলে অন্য একটি সুত্র জানিয়েছে। এই সকল ভারতীয় অফিসারদের দ্বারাই পদোন্নতি ও বদলির বিষয়ে তালিকা বানানো হয়, যা বাংলাদেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রী বাস্তবায়ন করেন।

এদিকে বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনীকে ধীরে ধীরে ভারতীয় বাহিনীর সহায়ক বাহিনীতে পরিণত করার বিষয়ে চীন ও মায়ানমার সেনাবাহিনী উৎকণ্ঠিত বলে জানা গেছে। এমনকি ন্যাটোও এ বিষয়টিকে সুনজরে দেখছে না বলে বিভিন্ন সুত্র জানিয়েছে।
