Balance of power tips toward Iran

Nothing is permanent. But, Iranian influence will remain around for a very long time and as things are going, it will carry on growing.
Growing? Don't delude yourself.
Once the states of Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Lebanon reach a period of stabilization and the populace gets over their fears of other sects, they'll kick both you and the Saudis out. Iranian influence will only grow if they offer something besides militia groups and arms.

Pakistan cannot do much when she is already busy in the East and NorthWest. It would be utterly stupid to make another enemy in the west

We are not making an enemy but trying to save a friend from starting a war that nobody wants.

Does Iran want to be like Germany between the World Wars or like Germany today in European Union today ?

Iran will be like Iran. In terms of prosperity, of course all nations long to prosper. Iran is in a different situation to Germany right now. Once sanctions are lifted, then we can talk.

@rmi5

He was elected (for better or worse) that clearly doesn't make him a dictator o_O

Please note that Iran is not the most powerful state in the region and by no means the only player. This advantage is temporary unless Iran makes a territorial claim on Iraqi Shia belt.

1. Yeah, you are friends and you are paying a big price which is dealing with Taliban in your own soil.

A problem which occurred not due to interference, but a flaw in the strategy of the generals who chose to establish Mujahideen bases near the borders without keeping them sealed.

This ain't a hugbox where people will rush to embrace you for your brilliant views. You're not making yourself look good for anyone either by making a fool out of yourself.

That's rhetorical speech.
In fact, the war started in 1979 when the revolution happened in Iran and Arab monarchs became worried about spreading of the revolution from the northern shores to the southern shores of the persian gulf.

Our friend above has no idea what he's talking about. Iran is not Germany. The Germans were an industrialised state in WW-2 and commanded one of the largest armed forces on the planet. Not to forget that Germany was humiliated in both wars.

Who is the most powerful state in the region? The way I see it, all countries in the region are regional player by the virtue of being in the region. Being a regional power is something else.

Iran has no interest in taking over territories. This is not 539BCE and Cyrus the great is not ruling Iran.
Influences today are spread in many other ways.

That will not happen anytime soon. Arab nationalism died in 2010, and since then Islamist groups like the MB have gained influence among Sunnis, who are out to either eradicate Shias (in the case of Daesh) or oppress them and deny them rights.

The Middle East will reach stability when new borders are drawn based on sects.

We will see how strong anyone's influence is after the long term results of the battles for Tikrit and Mosul.

. .
what? what friend? what are you commenting about?

Mosavi and RM5 seems to hint claims against Arab states. We support rights for Shia majority in Bahrain and Lebanon and also Shia minorities in Saudi Arabia. While Sunnis don't have any mosque in Tehran.
