Azerbaijan Defence Programs & Military Development

I bet Negotiations are aimed to order 60 T129 Atak in Azerbaijani colours.. :)

Yeah, we've all heard those news but they sound unrealistic.

I mean I'd wish, but Azerbaijan never bought so many aircraft at once... some standardization would hurt

.
They already have 70 or so attack helicopters so I doubt that they will buy t-129. From what wikipedia shows they have alot of mi 24's that have not been upgraded. Those may be replaced by the t-129 if they choose to buy it.

.
I wouldn't call Mi24 percisely an attack helicopter... a flying abomination would be more accurate

Azerbaijan bought more than 100 attack and transport helis from russia in one year

IDK what it is but still it is an attack helicopter. However they dont have very advanced weapon systems from what I have seen. (the older ones)

Actually this was exactly what I was trying to say
Azerbaijan buys new things every goddamn year
You will buy some T129s then you will go back and buy some more Mi35s..
If it's going to go on like this, Turkey shouldn't sell any T129s to Azerbaijan... Because it would only hurt.
T129 has different spare parts, different weapons, it'll only make it more and more difficult to logistically maintain your fleet.

You have to make a choice, you can't have everything and it's not about money or numbers.

Compare Mi24 with SuperCobra

Which one do you think is easier to hit with a RPG-7?
Mi24 isn't a hunter, it's the hunt.

The mi 24 is harder to hit. Its size is un necessary which is why the russians havn't continued using that design rather they are using the smaller mi 28. The mi 24 is still an attack helicopter though.

T129 would be for the air force while Mi-35s are for the border guards
our Mi-24s and Mi-35s already have different weapons

upgraded Mi-24s uses Baryer missile while Mi-35s Ataka missiles

if T-129s are bought they will totally replace Mi-24s , so shouldnt create a logistical problem

How many attack helicopters you have ?

Are these Mi-24s old & do you want to remove them from your inventory for that reason ?
