What is the reason for this stark difference? Aren't they all mostly Han population?

Han is not a single ethnic group. There were many ethnic groups in ancient china, however, they were united by Qin Shi Huang in ~220 BC. Eventually all ethnic groups have been assimilated into the han chinese culture and just call themselves han but they may be genetically different.

i dont think this is true. why would j&k people lie more about height than others?? Fact is we are one of the tallest, if not the tallest people in India
maybe you saw some ladakhis and thought them to be kashmiris. ladakhis are shorter.

Do you atleast agree the haryanvis are very tall?? Afterall they are also jats

kashmir is just a stone throw away from punjab. ladakis are differnt. anyways if you think you are tallest then so b it. in my view kashmiris are fairest like other pahari people but are medium tall. i m not trying to score points here. i am only talking whats obvious. other than that who cares even if north eastern indians claim they are tallest

meat consumption has got nothing to do with ur body built or height

i or my family has never consumed meat or eggs but still that had no affect on our height
