I think Naseem Shah could have made a difference. He has been very unlucky in this tournament with so many deliveries missing the bat. Zaman looked threatening with his yorkers. SL batsmen did well to dig out all of them. One miss and it could have been a very different result. I frankly don't know why Babur insisted on continuing with Shadab Khan and gave him full 9 overs. He has been totally off this tournament.

I also believe that the frequent rain breaks affected the Pakistani team in the last 2 matches. I consider it a team that likes to find its rhythm. When it finds it, it is very dangerous, and if not, then very average.

Nasim Shah has definitely been very unlucky throughout his career. I think he needs to work more with legends like Wasim Akram to improve the length he bowls. His line is perfect

As for Shadab. He has disappointed the most in this Asia cup. He was below average throughout the Asia cup both with bat and ball. The problem is we can't drop him despite that since we don't have many options to replace him

As for giving him 9 overs is again a show of poor captaincy by Babar Azam. I am advocate of him leaving captaincy and continuing in Pakistan team as pure batsman. Shaheen should be given captaincy instead who is better with his decision making and is already a great of the game with more than 250 international wickets and ICC cricketer of the year award

Pakistan should immediately start looking for spinners who can perform for them in longer format of the cricket (ODI and tests). That guy might not be prepared for world cup in India but can be future choice for Pakistan in tournaments of 50 overs after that

He is good only in seaming conditions...nahi to he is very average when pitch is not in his favour. I rate bumrah better tham him in normal conditions.

Shaheen already has 250 plus international wickets and is also the first Pakistani player to win ICC cricketer of the year award

He is special. One or two matches can't change that

I agree about Shaheen being made captain. We subcontinent people have this habit of making our best batsman as captain, but that has no real logical basis. A captain should be a person who can think freely. A bowler is better choice for that because bowlers don't have the worry about getting out like batsmen. They can endure a few bad overs and still maintain their composure. Shaheen looks calm and mature.

Why no Mohammad Nawaz in the squad? He is a bowler who can hit the ball down the order, and one of the better fielders. I think he makes for a great allrounder. Having said that, Shadab is a good allrounder too. Perhaps he is going through a bad patch.

Shaheen as captain has already won two consecutive PSLs with Lahore Qalandars. Lahore are the first team to win two consecutive season trophies. It is the same Lahore that was a joke before Shaheen became its captain. Lahore was mocked because it used to every single match. It got bowled out for 59 runs in PSL. Lowest by any team. And then Shaheen became its captain and change it fortunes. Before Shaheen even the likes of Mccullum, Hafeez, Azhar Ali failed to achieve anything with Lahore Qalandars

As for why not Nawaz? Because Imad Wasim is the direct replacement of Nawaz. Both bowl with left hand. Both are slow orthodox bowlers. There is no point of having two players of same type when one of them has below par performances. Nawaz doesn't bring anything new to Pakistan team if Imad is playing. Imad is also a much better batsman than Nawaz
