Army needs to stop doing internal operations.

Was going through what happened at Hayatabad and again got pissed to see that a operation started by Police was pretty much over taken by Army. For GOD sake it's time for Army to back off. Let Police learn let them make mistakes. If some one really do the research on intial counter terror operations done by Army after 2007 they would know the grotesque mistakes made by Army. But Army learnt after each operation. Now it's time to make sure Police Special Forces learn from their mistakes and get better.

The Function of Police is to maintain law & order.
The Function of Army is to Shoot & Kill.

Army already treats all Civilians as suspects, and Army should stay away from the peoples they don't know, they dont TRUST. Otherwise terrible incidents might happen!

Yes I agree anti terror operations should be conducted by Police with its special forces.

In France, and in others developed countries I think, we have normal police for normal duty, but for special operations (anti terror, hostage...) we have specialised groups like RAID, GIGN, GIPN, and few others. All specialised groups are for some of them military under home minister, and others are civilians under home minister. But they all received a very tough training. Even the selection process is very very tough.

Do we have such police forces in Pakistan?

Sirji, he have valid point. Police should take over internal ops. Or at least use army partially. For example if you need 20 men for ops, use 10 from police and 10 from army. The country can't be dependent on army for every single problem.

Not sure if SSG needs to answer for the failure of the newly formed teams.
I don’t know the background if the guys who have been formed. What have been their competence, their mindset, how about their individual motivations etc etc. So quite difficult to say who is responsible.

If I’m not mistaken SSG members have a military background. It means they are used to military tactics, mindset etc. Are the policemen who were trained having same kind of background ?

Oh bhai, what is your problem with the military and the SSG, kahe ISSB ma reject to nahe hue the? You are just stirring the pot, the Army gets involved after being approached by the civilian administration. Still I'd rather have the Army play its role in internal/external national security than have to pay the price with civilian blood.

I don't have any. My problem is internal security has to be done by Police. In entire world Police does the internal security not Army. FBI and Police SWAT units will deal with terrorists even if terrorists have RPG and Missiles not USA Army inside USA. Same goes for every other country. And there is very good reason for it.

Because internal security is Police Job. Entire world is not retarded that they use Police For internal security not Army. The way a Policeman can identify a suspicious person Army guy can't. He is not trained like that.

All new commandos are trained by Army I mean Police Commandos. If Army still doesn't trust them than sorry but Army training is also in question.
