Bhai in real world that would be ideal scenario but until our Police become professional force what should forces do ?let such terrorists run free?Ground realities demands different measures from 2014 here in Karachi Rangers always assist Police in such operation(bcoz they know their real capability ) and its giving good result Police learning a lot from working with highly skilled professionals .Just in last 3 weeks they captured over 5 gangs from both side of line and thats quite an achievement catching before they do anything shows a lot not only their capability but intelligence work too.Also they are learn resisting political pressure too thanx to Rangers backup

Police started Hayatabad operation there was no need of Army to jump in. You want Police to learn than let them learn or end Police Force and take over internal security and also arrest those who do ATM frauds. If don't want to than let Police learn.

Punjab CT departments have performed considerably better as compared to KPK and only in recent years have KPK police caught up .

Yes I agree anti terror operations should be conducted by Police with its special forces.

In France, and in others developed countries I think, we have normal police for normal duty, but for special operations (anti terror, hostage...) we have specialised groups like RAID, GIGN, GIPN, and few others. All specialised groups are for some of them military under home minister, and others are civilians under home minister. But they all received a very tough training. Even the selection process is very very tough.

Sir there must be some reason they called them as if they started but later called??avoiding extra casualties may be still waiting the list of recovered weapons (already news over 50 kg of explosive u can imagine if any such explosion what it would do in that locality .SSG presence puzzled me may be some high value target?2 weeks ago for conducting such operation which was just grabbing an guy special team arrived from Islamabad no local police involvement was allowed

In the past 2-3 years I have dealings with both police forces. From experience with dealing with both police forces. CT in both provinces better than each other? is a debatable.

Year it depends upon the needs of each provinces and various other factors
But in terms of dealing terrorists in urban areas CT Punjab has better intelligence gathering and execution. Probably because Punjab has better infrastructure to track unwanted people .

Was going through what happened at Hayatabad and again got pissed to see that a operation started by Police was pretty much over taken by Army. For GOD sake it's time for Army to back off. Let Police learn let them make mistakes. If some one really do the research on intial counter terror operations done by Army after 2007 they would know the grotesque mistakes made by Army. But Army learnt after each operation. Now it's time to make sure Police Special Forces learn from their mistakes and get better.

Or the Army could Guide the police, But one thing is for sure Pakistan Army saved lives and prevented loss of life. if police did it there would be much death collateral damage and deaths of even police members so army saved losses.

was it correct to do it? well its for the administration to decide, what and how they wanted it to go. to us it seems like a clean sweap nice job.

All new commandos are trained by Army I mean Police Commandos. If Army still doesn't trust them than sorry but Army training is also in question.
