Half the political parties are being intimidated and targeted by the TTP and thus giving undue advantage to the right, PTI and PML-N. On top of that you have idiotic rulings by ROs all over Pakistan making the entire process a silly joke. There is no consistency, people are being allowed to contest elections because they can satisfy idiotic questioning by the ROs. The ROs and the judicial tribunals are clueless on how to handle cases that are sub judice and instead are using such cases against individuals as a disqualification criteria.

Overall it is a big, nasty mess that won't have a very happy ending as nobody will walk away from it feeling it was a fair exercise.

The lot that is being approved for the elections is far from being a bunch of saadiq and ameens.
