ceremonial post has no value. More cosmetic. PTI is only Imran Khan. Only the chairman of the party has ultimate power.Especially the Duon sunon part
I think this was a MASTERSTROKE move by Khan, if you think strategically for the next few years.
Pros
-80 year old pervaz won't be President forever, probably a year or so. IK is still the chairman and holds all power.
-Brings his family and 10 seats to join PTI's mission under IK leadership
-Lots of political experience in Punjab
-Tremendously Weakens the nut-case generals stranglehold over the country, and any aspirations of pushing any new foreign dictatorial agenda
-Moonis Ela and the younger lot will get a Fresh start, a new positive direction under IK leadership
-a course correction in the positive direction for younger politicians
-This single move enhances political stability in Punjab and Pakistan.

-Pervaz is a done and dusted 80 year old, Brings bad reputation to the party.
-More bad publicity and vibes within the party.
-Elahi group is joining a winning party, if they leave PTI they will have far more to lose than PTI
